“ Am I a God at hand,” says Yahweh,“ and not a God afar off?

耶和华说：“我岂为近处的神呢？不也为远处的神吗？”

我是靠近你们的上帝，不是遥远的上帝，不是吗？这是耶和华说的。

我是靠近你们的神，不是遥远的神，不是吗？这是耶和华说的。

耶和华说：“我是无处不在的上帝。”

难道我只是近处的神吗？不也是远处的神吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和華說：「我豈為近處的神呢？不也為遠處的神嗎？」

我是靠近你們的上帝，不是遙遠的上帝，不是嗎？這是耶和華說的。

我是靠近你們的神，不是遙遠的神，不是嗎？這是耶和華說的。

耶和華說：「我是無處不在的上帝。」

難道我只是近處的神嗎？不也是遠處的神嗎？”這是耶和華的宣告。

永恆主發神諭說：『我，難道我只是近處的上帝？不也是遠處的上帝麼？

耶和華曰、我為上帝、豈知近而不知遠乎、

耶和華又曰、我為上帝、無間遐邇。

主曰、我為天主、豈獨鑒察近事乎、不亦鑒察遠事乎、

“ Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord,“ and not a God far away?

“ Am I only a God who is nearby?” announces the Lord.“ Am I not a God who is also far away?

“ Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away?

Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord.“ No, I am far away at the same time.

“ Am I a God who is only near”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and not a God who is far away?

“ Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord,“ And not a God far off?

“ Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord,“ And not a God afar off?

Am I a God at hand, saith Jehovah, and not a God afar off?

“ Am I a God who is only near”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and not a God who is far away?

[ Am] I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

Do you people think that I am some local deity and not the transcendent God?” the LORD asks.

Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me.You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether.You hem me in behind and before. You laid your hand on me.This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it.Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence?If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea,even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.

The servants of the king of Syria said to him,“ Their god is a god of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we. But let’s fight against them in the plain, and surely we will be stronger than they.

But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of Yahweh. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid its fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of Yahweh.But Yahweh sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.

“‘“ That which comes into your mind will not be at all, in that you say,‘ We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.’As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be king over you.I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.

Who is like Yahweh, our God, who has his seat on high,

A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ Yahweh is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys;” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am Yahweh.’”
