The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the wilderness are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly.

The land is full of people who aren’t faithful to the Lord. Now the land is under his curse. And that’s why it is thirsty for water. That’s why the desert grasslands are dry. The prophets are leading sinful lives. They don’t use their power in the right way.

彼妄發誓詞、專事誑言、淫人妻室、奪人貨財、殺戮人民、流血四境、故土地荒蕪、居民凋喪、野獸飛鳥海魚、俱必滅亡、

我民詭詐行淫、我欲去之、願遜於荒、得託足之所。

山岡牧原、俱被焚燬、杳無人跡、不聞牲畜之鳴、飛鳥走獸、皆已奔散、我用是殷憂。

耶和華曰、爾之赤子、我使之果腹、尚有背予者、指他上帝而發誓、集於娼妓之室、狥欲而行、我見此、豈能宥爾。維彼夙興、縱欲無度、貪人妻女、若肥馬鳴嘶、牝牡相誘、有民若此、我豈能不加責罰、以雪我憤哉。

萬有之主耶和華曰、我必涖臨、降災於爾、凡巫覡行淫之子、妄誓之輩、奪傭人之值、虐遇孤寡、使賓旅不得伸其枉屈、而不敬畏我者、必速降以罰。

揚虛誕以殺人、食岡巒之祭品、行諸淫亂、烝父繼室、妻癸水至、與之同寢、淫人之妻、亂子婦、淫姊妹、

上帝降災、居民遭譴、如受火烙、存者無幾、

爾攘竊殺人、行淫妄誓、焚香以敬巴力、崇事素未識之上帝、

夫從欲者、其行可知、姦淫、苟合、污穢、邪侈、拜偶像、用巫術、結仇、爭鬥、媢嫉、憤怒、朋黨、釁隙、異端、嫉妒、兇頑、沉湎、蕩檢之類、我嘗言之、今申命汝、凡行是者、不能得上帝國、

豈不知不義者、不得上帝國乎、毋自欺也、淫亂、拜偶像、行姦、為孌童、比頑童、寇攘、貪婪、沉湎、詬誶、殘酷者、皆不得上帝國也、

猶大國懷憂、邑民衰絰、哀慘靡已、耶路撒冷號呼、升聞於上。

耶和華與、爾鑒察予、知予中心信從、惟彼作惡者流、爾其牽之、若羊置於死地。人居斯土、作惡無厭、自謂上帝不加彰癉、故邦國愁慘。土產槁枯、禽獸死亡、伊於何底。

彼終夕流涕、沾濡盈睫兮、良朋雖多、慰藉無人兮、我以彼為良朋、彼以我為仇敵兮。猶大被虜、服役維艱、居於異邦、未獲安康兮、災厄已臨、敵人追襲兮。大會既屆、無人詣郇邑兮、逵衢荒寂、邑門零落兮、祭司吁嗟、處女憂愁、邑眾困苦兮。

嗜淫行、比頑童、攘竊民人、誑言背誓、一切逆正理者、

田畝荒蕪、邦國號呼、五穀已盡、酒釀已罄、膏油已匱、

天使曰、此咒詛之詞、遍行天下、凡盜竊者、必殲滅於左、凡妄誓者、必殲滅於右、俱循此言。萬有之主耶和華曰、我出此卷、使入盜竊者之宅、又入指我名而妄誓者之宅、恆居其中、燬其木石、

淫亂之男女乎、豈不知狗世之情欲者、則逆上帝、凡狗世之情欲、則其違逆上帝也明矣、

婚姻可貴、床笫無玷、苟合淫行者、上帝罪之、
