人必曰、皆因斯民棄主其天主之約、崇拜他神而服事之、○

And the answer will be,‘ This happened because of what its people have done. They have turned away from the covenant the Lord their God made with them. They have worshiped other gods. And they have served them.’ ”

They will answer,‘ Because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD their God and bowed in worship to other gods and served them.’”

Then they will answer,‘ Because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord their God and bowed down to other gods and served them.’ ”

Then they will answer,‘ Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshiped other gods and served them.’”

Then they shall answer, Because they forsook the covenant of Jehovah their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

They will answer,‘ Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh their God and worshiped and served other gods.’”

The answer will come back,“ It is because they broke their covenant with the LORD their God and worshiped and served other gods.”

When the commander of the guard found Jeremiah, he said to him,“ The Lord your God decreed this disaster for this place.And now the Lord has brought it about; he has done just as he said he would. All this happened because you people sinned against the Lord and did not obey him.
