But if you do not obey these commands, declares the Lord, I swear by myself that this palace will become a ruin.’”

耶和華指己誓曰、我耶和華為萬有之主、維彼雅各、我深疾其顯榮、不悅其殿宇、將遐棄斯邑、以及居民、

且未有大於上帝者、其許亞伯拉罕時、指己而誓、

曰、耶和華指己而誓、曰、因爾行是、不惜嫡子一人、

如爾不聽、不以安息日為聖日、仍於安息日負荷入耶路撒冷邑門、則我必火焚邑門、延及宮殿、無人撲滅。

我指天而誓曰、我永生。我刃閃爍、我磨礪之、我秉公義、凡逆我者罰之、憾我者報之、我矢飲血、我刃食肉、其血即見虜被殺之血、其肉即勁敵渠魁之肉。

上帝欲使將得福之人、知其旨不易、故實之以誓、

耶和華又曰、爾既作此、我數告爾、爾弗聽、我屢召爾、爾不諾、故我所錫爾祖、及爾之地、與斯殿為籲我名之所、爾所恃者、我必敗之、如昔敗示羅然。

耶和華指雅各之顯榮而誓云、彼之所為、我永弗忘、地必震動、民必哀號、土壤墳起、忽復下陷、若埃及之河、漲而復退。

王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。

則必曰、昔上帝耶和華導其列祖、出於埃及、彼乃違逆、反簡他上帝、奉事崇拜、故耶和華降以是災。

故緣爾故、人將耕郇邑之地、盡成田疇、耶路撒冷悉變瓦礫、斯殿之山將為林藪。

如爾背逆、棄所命之禮儀禁令、奉事他上帝、

則我必棄此殿宇、與昔棄示羅無異、使此邑為列邦所詛。祭司先知庶民、聞耶利米在耶和華殿言此。耶利米以耶和華所命者、悉告庶民、其言既竟、祭司先知、與眾民執之、曰、爾罪當死、爾何藉耶和華名、言此殿必見棄、如示羅然、此邑必荒蕪、無人居處、眾民集於耶和華殿、攻耶利米。

當告之云、我指己而誓、爾之所言、我必行之、爾出言怨我、故所見核者、自二十歲以上、俱暴骨於野、我所許之地、爾不得入、惟耶孚尼子迦勒、及嫩之子約書亞、可得而入。

予怒而誓之、毋俾斯人、享余安息兮。

如爾悖逆、必亡以刃、我耶和華已言之矣。

上帝誓之、不許享其安息者誰、非不信之徒乎、
