如爾不聽斯言、主曰、我指己而誓、此殿必致荒蕪、

But if you do not obey these commands, declares the Lord, I swear by myself that this palace will become a ruin.’”

But suppose you do not obey these commands,” announces the Lord.“ Then I promise you that this palace will be destroyed. You can be as sure of this promise as you are sure that I live.” ’ ”

But if you will not obey these words, I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that this house shall become a desolation.

But if you refuse to pay attention to this warning, I swear by my own name, says the Lord, that this palace will become a pile of rubble.’”

But if you do not obey these words, then I swear by myself— this is the LORD’s declaration— that this house will become a ruin.’”

主萬有之天主曰、我指己而誓、惟彼雅各、我厭其榮華、憎其宮殿、必以斯邑與其居民、付於敵人、

昔天、主許亞伯拉罕時、因無大於己可指而誓者、則指己而誓云、

主云、爾既行是、不惜爾獨子、我故指己而誓、

如爾不聽我、不守安息日為聖日、仍於安息日負荷入耶路撒冷邑門、則我必使火焚耶路撒冷之諸門、並燬其宮殿、不得撲滅、原文作我必燃火在其諸門焚燬耶路撒冷之宮殿不得撲滅

我舉手指天發誓而言、我乃永生、我磨礪我刀利刃閃爍、我秉公義於我手中、必報復我敵、施報憾我之人、我使我矢飲血沈醉、使我之刀得肉餐食、飲見擄被殺者之血、食敵軍元帥頭之肉、

天主欲使將得所許之福者、確知其旨不易、則實之以誓、

主曰、爾今作此諸事、我屢屢原文作每晨警教爾、爾不聽、召爾、爾不應、故我必廢棄斯殿、為我名而建者、即爾所恃者、亦必廢棄我所賜爾與爾列祖之處、如昔我在示羅所行者然、

主指雅各之顯榮而誓或作雅各有榮之主指己而誓云、彼之所為、我永不忘、緣此事、地不當震動乎、其中居民、不當哀痛乎、全地不當墳起、如河之翻騰乎、不當攪起復又下陷、如伊及之河漲而復退乎、

迦勒底人、以火焚王宮及民室、毀耶路撒冷城垣、

則必曰、緣斯民棄主其列祖之天主、導之出伊及地者、親暱他神、奉事崇拜、故主降以是災、

因此緣爾之故、郇邑盡成田疇、為人所耕、耶路撒冷變為瓦礫、斯殿之山、將如林中之荒邱、

如爾曹背逆、棄我所賜爾之律例誡命、往而奉事崇拜他神、

則我必使斯殿如示羅、使此邑為天下萬邦所詛、諸祭司諸先知與眾民、聞耶利米在主殿言此、耶利米以主所命者、悉告眾民、其言既竟、諸祭司諸先知與眾民執之曰、爾當死、爾何託主名預言曰、此殿必如示羅、此邑必荒蕪、無人居處、於是眾民集於主殿、欲攻耶利米、

爾當告之曰、主云、我指己永生而誓、我所聞爾之言、必循之以待爾、爾曹怨我、故凡爾見數者、自二十歲以上、屍骸俱仆於曠野、必不得入我所誓賜爾以居之地、惟耶孚尼子迦勒、與嫩之子約書亞、可得而入、

我遂震怒而誓曰、必不容其人享我安息、

如爾不願聽、反加忤逆、必為刃所殺、此乃主之口所言、

天主誓之、不許享其安息者誰、非違背違背或作不信之人乎、
