But if you do not obey these commands, declares the Lord, I swear by myself that this palace will become a ruin.’”

But suppose you do not obey these commands,” announces the Lord.“ Then I promise you that this palace will be destroyed. You can be as sure of this promise as you are sure that I live.” ’ ”

But if you refuse to pay attention to this warning, I swear by my own name, says the Lord, that this palace will become a pile of rubble.’”

萬軍之上帝耶和華曰、主耶和華指己而誓、我惡雅各之驕泰、而憎其宮室、將以斯城及其中所有、悉付諸敵、

夫上帝許亞伯拉罕時、因無大於己者可指而誓、乃指己而誓、

曰、耶和華云、爾既行是、不惜獨生之子、我則指己而誓、

如爾不我聽、不以安息日為聖、於安息日、荷擔而入耶路撒冷門、我必燃火於其門、盡焚耶路撒冷之宮室、不得撲滅、

我向天舉手曰、我指永生而誓、倘礪閃爍之刃、施行審鞫、敵我者、我必罰之、憾我者、我必報之、必使我矢醉於血、我刃吞厥肉、即被虜見殺者之血、敵魁頭顱之肉、

上帝欲於將承所許者、益彰其旨之不易、故實之以誓、

耶和華曰、爾既行此、我屢戒爾、夙興與言、惟爾弗聽、我呼爾而弗應、故我於我寄名之室、爾所恃者、及我錫爾列祖與爾之地、必有所為、如昔在示羅然、

耶和華指雅各之榮而誓曰、彼之所為、我永不忘、斯地豈不因此而震動、居其中者豈不悲哀乎、斯地將墳起、如大河之漲、搖撼而復下陷、如埃及之河焉、

迦勒底人火焚王宮民室、毀耶路撒冷城垣、

則將應之曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出埃及、彼乃棄之、歸向他神、崇拜奉事之、故降是災於彼、

以爾之故、錫安必被耕、有若田疇、耶路撒冷為墟、聖室之山、猶林中之崇邱、

若爾背逆、棄我所示爾之典章誡命、往事他神、而崇拜之、

我必使此室如示羅、使此邑為天下諸國所詛、耶利米於耶和華室言此、祭司先知庶民悉聞之、耶利米以耶和華所命、告眾既竟、祭司先知庶民執之曰、爾必死、爾奚託耶和華名預言曰、此室必如示羅、此邑荒蕪、無人居處哉、眾乃集於耶利米前、在耶和華室、○

當告之曰、耶和華云、我指己生以誓、必依爾言而行、爾尸必僵於斯野、爾中見核而怨我者、自二十歲以上、俱不得入、我誓賜爾以居之地、惟耶孚尼子迦勒、及嫩之子約書亞入之、

故我怒而誓曰、彼必不得入我安息兮、

如爾不願而悖逆、則為刃所吞、耶和華口言之矣、○

又誓之不得入其安息者誰耶、非不順從者乎、
