並將約雅斤和王母、后妃、太監，與國中的大官，都從耶路撒冷擄到巴比倫去了；

看哪，耶和華必像大有力的人，將你緊緊纏裹，竭力拋去。

約雅斤登基的時候年十八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三個月。他母親名叫尼護施她，是耶路撒冷人以利拿單的女兒。

他們問你說：『我們往哪裏去呢？』你便告訴他們，耶和華如此說：定為死亡的，必致死亡；定為刀殺的，必交刀殺；定為饑荒的，必遭饑荒；定為擄掠的，必被擄掠。」耶和華說：「我命定四樣害他們，就是刀劍殺戮、狗類撕裂、空中的飛鳥，和地上的野獸吞吃毀滅；又必使他們在天下萬國中拋來拋去，都因猶大王希西家的兒子瑪拿西在耶路撒冷所行的事。」

約雅斤登基的時候年八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三個月零十天，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事。過了一年，尼布甲尼撒差遣人將約雅斤和耶和華殿裏各樣寶貴的器皿帶到巴比倫，就立約雅斤的叔叔西底家作猶大和耶路撒冷的王。

他們用鈎子鈎住牠，將牠放在籠中，帶到巴比倫王那裏，將牠放入堅固之所，使牠的聲音在以色列山上不再聽見。你的母親先前如葡萄樹，極其茂盛，栽於水旁。因為水多，就多結果子，滿生枝子；生出堅固的枝幹，可作掌權者的杖。這枝幹高舉在茂密的枝中，而且它生長高大，枝子繁多，遠遠可見。但這葡萄樹因忿怒被拔出摔在地上；東風吹乾其上的果子，堅固的枝幹折斷枯乾，被火燒毀了；如今栽於曠野乾旱無水之地。火也從它枝幹中發出，燒滅果子，以致沒有堅固的枝幹可做掌權者的杖。這是哀歌，也必用以作哀歌。
