Therefore Yahweh says concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:“ They won’t lament for him, saying,‘ Ah my brother!’ or,‘ Ah sister!’ They won’t lament for him, saying‘ Ah lord!’ or,‘ Ah his glory!’

所以，耶和華論到猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的哥哥；或說：哀哉！我的姊姊；也不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的主；或說：哀哉！我主的榮華。

所以，耶和華論到約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的哥哥！哀哉，我的姊姊！」也不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的主！哀哉，我主的榮華！」

所以，耶和華論到約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的哥哥！哀哉，我的姊姊！」也不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的主！哀哉，我主的榮華！」

耶和華曰、猶大王、約西亞次子約雅金、既死之時、民不舉哀哭泣、曰、哀哉兄弟姊妹乎、惜哉我主、顯榮安在乎。

故主論猶大王約西亞子約雅敬如是云、民不為之舉哀曰、哀哉我兄、哀哉我姊、亦不為之舉哀曰、哀哉我主、哀哉我主之榮、

Therefore this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah:“ They will not mourn for him:‘ Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ They will not mourn for him:‘ Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!’

So the Lord speaks about King Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah. He says,“ His people will not mourn for him. They will not say,‘ My poor brother! My poor sister!’ They will not mourn for him. They will not say,‘ My poor master! How sad that his glory is gone!’

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:“ They shall not lament for him, saying,‘ Ah, my brother!’ or‘ Ah, sister!’ They shall not lament for him, saying,‘ Ah, lord!’ or‘ Ah, his majesty!’

Therefore, this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim, son of King Josiah:“ The people will not mourn for him, crying to one another,‘ Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ His subjects will not mourn for him, crying,‘ Alas, our master is dead! Alas, his splendor is gone!’

Therefore, this is what the LORD says concerning Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah: They will not mourn for him, saying,“ Woe, my brother!” or“ Woe, my sister!” They will not mourn for him, saying,“ Woe, lord! Woe, his majesty!”

Therefore this is what the Lord says regarding Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:“ They will not mourn for him:‘ Oh, my brother!’ or,‘ Oh, sister!’ They will not mourn for him:‘ Oh, for the master!’ or,‘ Oh, for his splendor!’

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:“ They shall not lament for him, Saying,‘ Alas, my brother!’ or‘ Alas, my sister!’“ They shall not lament for him, Saying,‘ Alas, master!’ or‘ Alas, his glory!’

Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! They shall not lament for him, saying Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!

Therefore, this is what the Lord says concerning Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah: They will not mourn for him, saying,“ Woe, my brother!” or“ Woe, my sister!” They will not mourn for him, saying,“ Woe, lord! Woe, his majesty!”

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him,[ saying], Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him,[ saying], Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!

So the LORD has this to say about Josiah’s son, King Jehoiakim of Judah: People will not mourn for him, saying,“ This makes me sad, my brother! This makes me sad, my sister!” They will not mourn for him, saying,“ Poor, poor lord! Poor, poor majesty!”

Both great and small will die in this land. They will not be buried. Men won’t lament for them, cut themselves, or make themselves bald for them.

He laid his body in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying,“ Alas, my brother!”

Don’t weep for the dead. Don’t bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he will return no more, and not see his native country.

“ They will die grievous deaths. They will not be lamented, neither will they be buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground. They will be consumed by the sword and by famine. Their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.”

The king lamented for Abner, and said,“ Should Abner die as a fool dies?Your hands weren’t bound, and your feet weren’t put into fetters. As a man falls before the children of iniquity, so you fell.” All the people wept again over him.All the people came to urge David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying,“ God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or anything else, until the sun goes down.”All the people took notice of it, and it pleased them; as whatever the king did pleased all the people.So all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to kill Abner the son of Ner.The king said to his servants,“ Don’t you know that a prince and a great man has fallen today in Israel?

I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan. You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

In process of time, at the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness, and he died of severe diseases. His people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.He was thirty- two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. He departed without being missed; and they buried him in David’s city, but not in the tombs of the kings.

Jeremiah lamented for Josiah, and all the singing men and singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day; and they made them an ordinance in Israel. Behold, they are written in the lamentations.

You will die in peace; and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so they will make a burning for you. They will lament you, saying,“ Ah Lord!” for I have spoken the word,’ says Yahweh.”
