那行不义盖房、行不公造楼、白白使用人的手工不给工价的有祸了！

耶和华说：“约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬啊，你有祸了！你以不公不义的手段建造宫廷殿宇，不给工人发工钱。

“用不义的手段建造自己房屋、用不公正的方法建筑自己楼房的，有祸了！他使自己的同胞白白作工，不把工资付给他们。

以非義建第、以不公築室、役人而不給值、其人禍矣、

人以非義之利、建造宅第、用人之力、不償其工者、禍必不遠、

行不義而建宮、行不公而造樓、徒用人力、不償工值者、斯人必禍、

“ Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his own people work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.

The Lord says,“ How terrible it will be for King Jehoiakim! He builds his palace by mistreating his people. He builds its upstairs rooms with money gained by sinning. He makes his own people work for nothing. He does not pay them for what they do.

“ Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his upper rooms by injustice, who makes his neighbor serve him for nothing and does not give him his wages,

And the Lord says,“ What sorrow awaits Jehoiakim, who builds his palace with forced labor. He builds injustice into its walls, for he makes his neighbors work for nothing. He does not pay them for their labor.

Woe for the one who builds his palace through unrighteousness, his upstairs rooms through injustice, who makes his neighbor serve without pay and will not give him his wages,

“ Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness, And his upstairs rooms without justice, Who uses his neighbor’s services without pay And does not give him his wages,

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; that useth his neighbor’s service without wages, and giveth him not his hire;

Woe for the one who builds his palace through unrighteousness, his upper rooms through injustice, who makes his fellow man serve without pay and will not give him his wages,

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong;[ that] useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

“‘ Sure to be judged is the king who builds his palace using injustice and treats people unfairly while adding its upper rooms. He makes his countrymen work for him for nothing. He does not pay them for their labor.

“ Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his rooms by injustice; who uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and doesn’t give him his hire;

‘ You shall not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of him who is hired shall not remain with you all night until morning.

Who build up Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with iniquity:

Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

“ You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.Each day you shall give him his wages, and not let the sun go down on it, for he is poor and has set his heart on it; lest he cry out against you to the Lord, and it be sin to you.

“ Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house, That he may set his nest on high, That he may be delivered from the power of disaster!You give shameful counsel to your house, Cutting off many peoples, And sin against your soul.For the stone will cry out from the wall, And the beam from the timbers will answer it.

They cause the poor to go naked, without clothing; And they take away the sheaves from the hungry.They press out oil within their walls, And tread winepresses, yet suffer thirst.

So Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give money according to the command of Pharaoh; he exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land, from every one according to his assessment, to give it to Pharaoh Necho.Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zebudah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his fathers had done.

And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien— Because they do not fear Me,” Says the Lord of hosts.

Then the king of Egypt made Jehoahaz’s brother Eliakim king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother and carried him off to Egypt.

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:“ They shall not lament for him, Saying,‘ Alas, my brother!’ or‘ Alas, my sister!’“ They shall not lament for him, Saying,‘ Alas, master!’ or‘ Alas, his glory!’
