For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:

因为耶和华论到从这地方出去的犹大王约西亚的儿子沙龙，就是接续他父亲约西亚作王的，这样说：“他必不得再回到这里来，

因為論到猶大王約西亞的兒子沙龍，那接替他父親約西亞作王的，就是那從這地方去出戰的，永恆主是這麼說的：『他必不得再回到這裏來；

耶和華論約西亞子沙龍、繼父為王、而出斯土、曰、彼不復返、

耶和華曰、猶大王、約西亞子沙龍、繼父為王、既出斯土、必不返國、

猶大王約西亞子沙龍、繼父約西亞為王、主論之如是云、既出斯地、必不復返、

For this is what the Lord says about Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place:“ He will never return.

Jehoahaz became king of Judah after his father Josiah. But he has gone away from this place. That’s because the Lord says about him,“ He will never return.

For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went away from this place:“ He shall return here no more,

For this is what the Lord says about Jehoahaz, who succeeded his father, King Josiah, and was taken away as a captive:“ He will never return.

For this is what the LORD says concerning Shallum son of Josiah, king of Judah, who became king in place of his father Josiah, and who has left this place:“ He will never return here again,

For this is what the Lord says regarding Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who became king in the place of his father Josiah, who went out from this place:“ He will never return there;

For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, who went from this place:“ He shall not return here anymore,

For thus saith Jehovah touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went forth out of this place: He shall not return thither any more;

For this is what the Lord says concerning Shallum son of Josiah, king of Judah, who became king in place of his father Josiah:“ He has left this place— he will never return here again,

“‘ For the LORD has spoken about Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but was carried off into exile. He has said,“ He will never return to this land.

For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place:“ He won’t return there any more.

And the sons of Josiah[ were], the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.

And Pharaohnechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there.

Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s stead in Jerusalem.Jehoahaz[ was] twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

And Hilkiah, and[ they] that the king[ had appointed], went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe;( now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake to her to that[ effect].

Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,

Jehoahaz[ was] twenty and three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name[ was] Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
