耶和華曰、猶大王、約西亞次子約雅金、既死之時、民不舉哀哭泣、曰、哀哉兄弟姊妹乎、惜哉我主、顯榮安在乎。

矢人射之、王告其僕曰、我受重傷盍扶我歸。臣僕扶之出於所乘之車、易以次輅、載至耶路撒冷而薨、葬於列祖之墓、猶大族耶路撒冷民傷之。耶利米緣約西亞故、作誄詞、凡謳歌男女、吟及誄詞、必言約西亞事、在以色列地、以此為常例、其事俱載誄詞中。

必使爾平康歸墓、然後降災此邑、不使爾目睹、使者聞言反命。

中有一獅、日漸長大、能搏物噬人、列國聞之、陷以坑阱、繫以鐵索、曳至埃及。
