I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South;and say to the forest of the South, Hear the word of Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt thereby.And all flesh shall see that I, Jehovah, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.

Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will punish all them that are circumcised in their uncircumcision:

The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed of the fire: in vain do they go on refining; for the wicked are not plucked away.

therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine;

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons; and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.

Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
