瑪坦的兒子示法提雅、巴施戶珥的兒子基大利、示利米雅的兒子猶甲、瑪基雅的兒子示巴戶珥，聽見耶利米對眾民宣講以下的話：

護衛長拿住祭司長西萊雅、副祭司長西番亞和三個守門的；

又有瑪基雅的曾孫、巴施戶珥的孫子、耶羅罕的兒子亞大雅，以及亞第業的兒子瑪賽；亞第業是雅希細拉的兒子，雅希細拉是米書蘭的兒子，米書蘭是米實利密的兒子，米實利密是音麥的兒子；

約西亞的兒子西底家代替約雅敬的兒子哥尼雅作王；西底家是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所立在猶大地作王的。

猶大王西底家第十年，就是尼布甲尼撒第十八年，從耶和華那裡有話臨到耶利米。那時，巴比倫王的軍隊正在圍困耶路撒冷，耶利米先知被囚禁在猶大王宮中衛兵的院子裡。因為猶大王西底家把他囚禁起來，說：“你為甚麼預言：‘耶和華這樣說：看哪！我必把這城交在巴比倫王的手中，他必攻取這城；

西底家登基的時候是二十一歲，他在耶路撒冷作王十一年；他母親名叫哈慕他，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，像約雅敬一切所行的。因為耶和華的怒氣向耶路撒冷和猶大發作，直到他把他們從自己的面前趕走。後來，西底家背叛了巴比倫王。

巴比倫王立約雅斤的叔叔瑪探雅接續他作王，並且把瑪探雅的名字改為西底家。西底家登基的時候是二十一歲，他在耶路撒冷作王十一年；他母親名叫哈慕他，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。

護衛長拿住祭司長西萊雅、副祭司長西番亞和三個守門的；又從城裡拿住一個管理軍兵的官長，並且在城裡搜獲常見王面的五個人，和一個負責召募當地人民的軍長書記，又在城中搜獲六十個當地的人民。護衛長尼布撒拉旦把他們拿住，帶到利比拉巴比倫王那裡。巴比倫王擊殺他們，在哈馬地的利比拉把他們處死。這樣，猶大人被擄，離開了他們的國土。

過了年，尼布甲尼撒派人去把約雅斤和耶和華殿裡的珍貴的器皿，一起帶到巴比倫來。他立了約雅斤的叔叔西底家，作猶大和耶路撒冷的王。西底家登基的時候，是二十一歲；他在耶路撒冷作王共十一年，他行耶和華他的神看為惡的事；耶利米先知奉耶和華的命令警戒他，他仍不在耶利米面前謙卑下來。尼布甲尼撒王曾經使他指著神起誓，他還是背叛了尼布甲尼撒；他頑固執拗，不肯歸向耶和華以色列的神。

還有他們的親族，在殿裡工作事奉的，共八百二十二人；又有耶羅罕的兒子亞大雅；耶羅罕是毘拉利的兒子，毘拉利是暗洗的兒子，暗洗是撒迦利亞的兒子，撒迦利亞是巴施戶珥的兒子，巴施戶珥是瑪基雅的兒子；

約西亞的兒子是：長子約哈難、次子約雅敬、三子西底家、四子沙龍。
