你呢、巴施戶珥啊，你和一切住在你家的人、也必被擄而去，你和一切友愛你的，就是你向他們傳假神言的那些人。你要去的是巴比倫；你就是必死在那裏，必埋葬在那裏。』

爾巴施戶珥及居爾家者、俱被徙至巴比倫、死於彼、葬於彼、爾與友朋、即爾向之妄預言者、皆然、○

爾巴述全家、將被俘於巴比倫、在彼爾及信爾言之友、必死而葬。

And you, Pashhur, and all who live in your house will go into exile to Babylon. There you will die and be buried, you and all your friends to whom you have prophesied lies.’”

Pashhur, you and everyone who lives in your house will also be forced to go there. You have prophesied lies to all your friends. So all of you will die and be buried in Babylon.’ ”

And the Lord said to me:“ The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say,‘ Sword and famine shall not come upon this land’: By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity to restore your fortunes, but have seen for you oracles that are false and misleading.

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken.

If a man should go about and utter wind and lies, saying,“ I will preach to you of wine and strong drink,” he would be the preacher for this people!

‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying a lie to you in my name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall strike them down before your eyes.Because of them this curse shall be used by all the exiles from Judah in Babylon:“ The Lord make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,”

Because you have disheartened the righteous falsely, although I have not grieved him, and you have encouraged the wicked, that he should not turn from his evil way to save his life,therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”

I will set my face against you, and you shall be struck down before your enemies. Those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when none pursues you.

I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in my name, saying,‘ I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’How long shall there be lies in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart,

therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, and he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the Lord, for he has spoken rebellion against the Lord.’”

But in the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery and walk in lies; they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his evil; all of them have become like Sodom to me, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets:“ Behold, I will feed them with bitter food and give them poisoned water to drink, for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes. They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord,‘ It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say,‘ No disaster shall come upon you.’”

Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel.You have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the Lord.They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say,‘ Declares the Lord,’ when the Lord has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word.Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, whenever you have said,‘ Declares the Lord,’ although I have not spoken?”Therefore thus says the Lord God:“ Because you have uttered falsehood and seen lying visions, therefore behold, I am against you, declares the Lord God.My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who give lying divinations. They shall not be in the council of my people, nor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.Precisely because they have misled my people, saying,‘ Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, these prophets smear it with whitewash,say to those who smear it with whitewash that it shall fall! There will be a deluge of rain, and you, O great hailstones, will fall, and a stormy wind break out.And when the wall falls, will it not be said to you,‘ Where is the coating with which you smeared it?’Therefore thus says the Lord God: I will make a stormy wind break out in my wrath, and there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to make a full end.And I will break down the wall that you have smeared with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you shall perish in the midst of it, and you shall know that I am the Lord.Thus will I spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have smeared it with whitewash, and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor those who smeared it,the prophets of Israel who prophesied concerning Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her, when there was no peace, declares the Lord God.

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, declares the Lord, and who tell them and lead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when I did not send them or charge them. So they do not profit this people at all, declares the Lord.

Therefore I will give their wives to others and their fields to conquerors, because from the least to the greatest everyone is greedy for unjust gain; from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

But Elymas the magician( for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at himand said,“ You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.

the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction; my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes?

And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah,“ Listen, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.Therefore thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’”In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died.

“ The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you shall be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

the elder and honored man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail;

And if anyone again prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him,‘ You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of the Lord.’ And his father and mother who bore him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.

“ For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be overthrown,” says the Lord.
