For Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them captive to Babylon, and will kill them with the sword.

因耶和華如此說：『我必使你自覺驚嚇，你也必使眾朋友驚嚇；他們必倒在仇敵的刀下，你也必親眼看見；我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王的手中，他要將他們擄到巴比倫去，也要用刀將他們殺戮。

蓋耶和華曰、我必使爾驚惶、爾之友朋因而驚惶、彼必仆於敵刃、為爾目睹、我將付猶大眾於巴比倫王、虜至巴比倫、殺之以刃、

蓋耶和華曰、我將使爾恆有懼心、友朋見爾、莫不悚懼、爾友將亡於刃、使爾目睹、蓋巴比倫王將伐猶大、殺戮殆盡、擄其民人、而反、我使之然。

蓋主如是云、我將使爾驚惶、使爾友朋見爾驚惶、彼將殞亡於敵人之刃、使爾目睹、我亦必以猶大眾、付於巴比倫王手、擄至巴比倫、亦擊之以刃、

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will give all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, who will carry them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.

The Lord says to you,‘ I will make you a terror to yourself. You will also be a terror to all your friends. With your own eyes you will see them die. Their enemies will kill them with swords. I will hand over all the people of Judah to the king of Babylon. He will carry them away to Babylon or kill them with swords.

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will send terror upon you and all your friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered by the swords of the enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon or run them through with the sword.

for this is what the LORD says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to make you a horror to yourself and to all your friends; and while your eyes look on, they will fall by the sword of their enemies. So I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will take them away as exiles to Babylon and will kill them with the sword.

For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

For the LORD says,‘ I will make both you and your friends terrified of what will happen to you. You will see all of them die by the swords of their enemies. I will hand all the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will carry some of them away into exile in Babylon and he will kill others of them with the sword.

Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who prophesy a lie to you in my name:“ Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he will kill them before your eyes.

behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,” says Yahweh,“ and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

Then the king of Babylon killed Zedekiah’s sons in Riblah before his eyes. The king of Babylon also killed all the nobles of Judah.Moreover he put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.His roots will be dried up beneath. His branch will be cut off above.His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.He will be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn’t know God.”

‘ Yahweh, the God of Israel says,“ Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation.I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and animal. They will die of a great pestilence.Afterward,” says Yahweh,“ I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, even those who are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life. He will strike them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them, have pity, or have mercy.”’“ You shall say to this people,‘ Yahweh says:“ Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he who goes out and passes over to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he will live, and he will escape with his life.For I have set my face on this city for evil, and not for good,” says Yahweh.“ It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.”’

The man of yours whom I don’t cut off from my altar will consume your eyes and grieve your heart. All the increase of your house will die in the flower of their age.

The king of Babylon struck them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.

When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.

How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.

They will take up a lamentation over you, and tell you,“ How you are destroyed, who were inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, who was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all who lived there!”Now the islands will tremble in the day of your fall. Yes, the islands that are in the sea will be dismayed at your departure.’“ For the Lord Yahweh says:‘ When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I bring up the deep on you, and the great waters cover you;then I will bring you down with those who descend into the pit, to the people of old time, and will make you dwell in the lower parts of the earth, in the places that are desolate of old, with those who go down to the pit, that you be not inhabited; and I will set glory in the land of the living.I will make you a terror, and you will no more have any being. Though you are sought for, yet you will never be found again,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”

They killed Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon.

saying,“ I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said,“ What is that to us? You see to it.”He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.

“ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says,‘ Behold, I will bring on this city and on all its towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have made their neck stiff, that they may not hear my words.’”

Among these nations you will find no ease, and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot; but Yahweh will give you there a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and pining of soul.Your life will hang in doubt before you. You will be afraid night and day, and will have no assurance of your life.In the morning you will say,“ I wish it were evening!” and at evening you will say,“ I wish it were morning!” for the fear of your heart which you will fear, and for the sights which your eyes will see.

Don’t go out into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and terror are on every side.

“ Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?Therefore Yahweh says: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.The Chaldeans, who fight against this city, will come and set this city on fire, and burn it with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.“ For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day, so that I should remove it from before my face,

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. Your eyes will look, and fail with longing for them all day long. There will be no power in your hand.A nation which you don’t know will eat the fruit of your ground and all of your work. You will only be oppressed and crushed always,so that the sights that you see with your eyes will drive you mad.
