For the LORD says,‘ I will make both you and your friends terrified of what will happen to you. You will see all of them die by the swords of their enemies. I will hand all the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will carry some of them away into exile in Babylon and he will kill others of them with the sword.

因为耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都惊惶失措；他们必倒在他们仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见。我要把全犹大交在巴比伦王手中；他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，或用刀击杀他们。

因耶和華如此說：『我必使你自覺驚嚇，你也必使眾朋友驚嚇；他們必倒在仇敵的刀下，你也必親眼看見；我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王的手中，他要將他們擄到巴比倫去，也要用刀將他們殺戮。

因為永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使你和一切友愛你的人都覺得恐怖；他們必倒斃在他們的仇敵刀下，你必親眼看見。我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王手中；他必使他們流亡到巴比倫去，用刀擊殺他們。

蓋耶和華曰、我必使爾驚惶、爾之友朋因而驚惶、彼必仆於敵刃、為爾目睹、我將付猶大眾於巴比倫王、虜至巴比倫、殺之以刃、

蓋耶和華曰、我將使爾恆有懼心、友朋見爾、莫不悚懼、爾友將亡於刃、使爾目睹、蓋巴比倫王將伐猶大、殺戮殆盡、擄其民人、而反、我使之然。

蓋主如是云、我將使爾驚惶、使爾友朋見爾驚惶、彼將殞亡於敵人之刃、使爾目睹、我亦必以猶大眾、付於巴比倫王手、擄至巴比倫、亦擊之以刃、

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will give all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, who will carry them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.

The Lord says to you,‘ I will make you a terror to yourself. You will also be a terror to all your friends. With your own eyes you will see them die. Their enemies will kill them with swords. I will hand over all the people of Judah to the king of Babylon. He will carry them away to Babylon or kill them with swords.

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will send terror upon you and all your friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered by the swords of the enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon or run them through with the sword.

for this is what the LORD says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to make you a horror to yourself and to all your friends; and while your eyes look on, they will fall by the sword of their enemies. So I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will take them away as exiles to Babylon and will kill them with the sword.

For thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon and slay them with the sword.

For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

for this is what the Lord says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold[ it]: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

For Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them captive to Babylon, and will kill them with the sword.

“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all also has something to say about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you and claiming my authority to do so.‘ I will hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and he will execute them before your very eyes.

So I, the LORD, affirm that I will send for all the peoples of the north and my servant, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and all the nations that surround it. I will utterly destroy this land, its inhabitants, and all the nations that surround it and make them everlasting ruins. I will make them objects of horror and hissing scorn.

There at Riblah the king of Babylon had Zedekiah’s sons put to death while Zedekiah was forced to watch. The king of Babylon also had all the nobles of Judah put to death.Then he had Zedekiah’s eyes put out and had him bound in chains to be led off to Babylon.

Terrors frighten him on all sides and dog his every step.Calamity is hungry for him, and misfortune is ready at his side.It eats away parts of his skin; the most terrible death devours his limbs.He is dragged from the security of his tent, and marched off to the king of terrors.Fire resides in his tent; over his residence burning sulfur is scattered.Below his roots dry up, and his branches wither above.His memory perishes from the earth, he has no name in the land.He is driven from light into darkness and is banished from the world.He has neither children nor descendants among his people, no survivor in those places he once stayed.People of the west are appalled at his fate; people of the east are seized with horror, saying,‘ Surely such is the residence of an evil man; and this is the place of one who has not known God.’”

that the LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘ The forces at your disposal are now outside the walls fighting against King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the Babylonians who have you under siege. I will gather those forces back inside the city.In anger, in fury, and in wrath I myself will fight against you with my mighty power and great strength!I will kill everything living in Jerusalem, people and animals alike! They will die from terrible diseases.Then I, the LORD, promise that I will hand over King Zedekiah of Judah, his officials, and any of the people who survive the war, starvation, and disease. I will hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and to their enemies who want to kill them. He will slaughter them with the sword. He will not show them any mercy, compassion, or pity.’“ But tell the people of Jerusalem that the LORD says,‘ I will give you a choice between two courses of action. One will result in life; the other will result in death.Those who stay in this city will die in battle or of starvation or disease. Those who leave the city and surrender to the Babylonians who are besieging it will live. They will escape with their lives.For I, the LORD, say that I am determined not to deliver this city but to bring disaster on it. It will be handed over to the king of Babylon and he will destroy it with fire.’”

Any one of you that I do not cut off from my altar, I will cause your eyes to fail and will cause you grief. All of those born to your family will die in the prime of life.

The king of Babylon ordered them to be executed at Riblah in the territory of Hamath. So Judah was taken into exile away from its land.

“ While he is filling his belly, God sends his burning anger against him, and rains down his blows upon him.If he flees from an iron weapon, then an arrow from a bronze bow pierces him.When he pulls it out and it comes out of his back, the gleaming point out of his liver, terrors come over him.Total darkness waits to receive his treasures; a fire which has not been kindled will consume him and devour what is left in his tent.

How desolate they become in a mere moment! Terrifying judgments make their demise complete!

They will sing this lament over you:“‘ How you have perished– you have vanished from the seas, O renowned city, once mighty in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who spread their terror!Now the coastlands will tremble on the day of your fall; the coastlands by the sea will be terrified by your passing.’“ For this is what the sovereign LORD says: When I make you desolate like the uninhabited cities, when I bring up the deep over you and the surging waters overwhelm you,then I will bring you down to bygone people, to be with those who descend to the pit. I will make you live in the lower parts of the earth, among the primeval ruins, with those who descend to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited or stand in the land of the living.I will bring terrors on you, and you will be no more! Though you are sought after, you will never be found again, declares the sovereign LORD.”

Zedekiah’s sons were executed while Zedekiah was forced to watch. The king of Babylon then had Zedekiah’s eyes put out, bound him in bronze chains, and carried him off to Babylon.

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!” But they said,“ What is that to us? You take care of it yourself!”So Judas threw the silver coins into the temple and left. Then he went out and hanged himself.

“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ I will soon bring on this city and all the towns surrounding it all the disaster I threatened to do to it. I will do so because they have stubbornly refused to pay any attention to what I have said!’”

Among those nations you will have no rest nor will there be a place of peaceful rest for the soles of your feet, for there the LORD will give you an anxious heart, failing eyesight, and a spirit of despair.Your life will hang in doubt before you; you will be terrified by night and day and will have no certainty of surviving from one day to the next.In the morning you will say,‘ If only it were evening!’ And in the evening you will say,‘ I wish it were morning!’ because of the things you will fear and the things you will see.

Do not go out into the countryside. Do not travel on the roads. For the enemy is there with sword in hand. They are spreading terror everywhere.”

“ I am the LORD, the God of all humankind. There is, indeed, nothing too difficult for me.Therefore I, the LORD, say:‘ I will indeed hand this city over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the Babylonian army. They will capture it.The Babylonian soldiers that are attacking this city will break into it and set it on fire. They will burn it down along with the houses where people have made me angry by offering sacrifices to the god Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods on their rooftops.This will happen because the people of Israel and Judah have repeatedly done what displeases me from their earliest history until now and because they have repeatedly made me angry by the things they have done. I, the LORD, affirm it!This will happen because the people of this city have aroused my anger and my wrath since the time they built it until now. They have made me so angry that I am determined to remove it from my sight.

Your sons and daughters will be given to another people while you look on in vain all day, and you will be powerless to do anything about it.As for the produce of your land and all your labor, a people you do not know will consume it, and you will be nothing but oppressed and crushed for the rest of your lives.You will go insane from seeing all this.
