Then Pashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper Benjamin Gate of the house of the Lord.

So he arrested Jeremiah the prophet and had him whipped and put in stocks at the Benjamin Gate of the Lord’s Temple.

So Pashhur had the prophet Jeremiah beaten and put him in the stocks at the Upper Benjamin Gate in the LORD’s temple.

When he heard Jeremiah’s prophecy, he had the prophet flogged. Then he put him in the stocks which were at the Upper Gate of Benjamin in the LORD’s temple.

Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in Yahweh’s house.

既至便雅憫門、有閽長名伊利雅、乃哈拿尼亞孫、示利米雅子也、執先知耶利米、曰、汝降迦勒底人也、

彼必攻爾而不勝、蓋我與爾偕、以拯爾也、耶和華言之矣、

亞撒因此怒先見、囚之於獄、斯時又虐民中數人、

斯土將成為平原、自迦巴至耶路撒冷南之臨門、耶路撒冷必將卓越、而居其所、自便雅憫門、至首門之處、延及隅門、復自哈楠業樓、至王之酒醡、

告之曰、王命拘此夫於獄、食以艱苦之餅、飲以艱苦之水、待我安歸、

伯特利之祭司亞瑪謝、遣人詣以色列王耶羅波安曰、阿摩司在以色列家、圖謀叛爾、彼之所言、國不能堪、蓋阿摩司曰、耶羅波安必死於刃、以色列必被虜、離其故土、亞瑪謝又謂阿摩司曰、先見歟、爾其遁往猶大地、在彼可得餬口、而預言焉、惟在伯特利勿復預言、蓋此為王之聖所、國家之宮室也、

耶和華立爾為祭司、以代祭司耶何耶大、俾在耶和華室為督、凡狂妄之徒、自稱為先知者、爾當執之、拘以項械、加以桎梏、

王命王子耶拉篾、與亞斯列子西萊亞、亞伯疊子示利米雅、執繕寫巴錄、及先知耶利米、然耶和華匿之、○

民遂同謀、循王所命、以石擊斃之、於耶和華室院、

耶利米奉耶和華命、往陀斐特預言而返、則立耶和華室院中、告眾曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我必降所言之災於是邑、及其屬邑、蓋彼強項、不聽我言也、

諸牧伯怒耶利米、撻之、囚於繕寫約拿單室、蓋以此室為獄也、耶利米下獄、幽之於室多日、

又有受戲玩、鞭扑、縲絏、囹圄之試、受石擊、鋸解、磨練、死於鋒刃、衣綿羊山羊之皮而流離、受窮乏、患難、暴虐、

又見此婦醉於聖徒及證耶穌者之血、我見之則奇甚、

爾桎我足、察我蹊徑、限我步履、

勿懼爾將受之苦、魔將投爾中數人於獄以試之、爾將受難十日、宜忠信至死、我則賜爾以維生之冕、

為義而見窘逐者福矣、以天國為其有也、為我而人詬爾窘爾、妄以諸惡誣爾、爾福矣、宜欣喜歡樂、以爾在天之賞大也、蓋前乎爾之先知、人亦如是窘逐之、○

心滿嫉恨、起而著手於使徒、置之外獄、

先知中、不為爾祖窘逐者誰乎、且殺預言義者將至之人、此義者爾今賣而殺之矣、

彼眾遂執耶利米、囚於王子瑪基雅之井、在護軍院內、以繩縋之下、井無水而有泥、耶利米乃陷於泥中、時、王坐於便雅憫門、王宮宦豎、古實人以伯米勒、聞耶利米囚於井、

羣眾起攻之、上憲命褫其衣、杖之、杖甚、則下之獄、命獄吏固守之、獄吏受命、下之內獄、以木桎其足、

遂執而囚之、以待翌日、因時已暮也、

耶利米以耶和華所命、告眾既竟、祭司先知庶民執之曰、爾必死、

農夫執其僕、扑一、殺一、石擊一、

眾從之、召使徒至、扑之、命勿以耶穌之名為言、遂釋之、

是以我遣先知哲人士子就爾、見殺者有之、釘十架者有之、鞭於會堂、由此邑逐於彼邑者亦有之、致世間所流義人之血、悉歸於爾、即自義人亞伯之血、至爾所殺於殿壇間、巴拉加子撒迦利亞之血、我誠語汝、此事悉歸斯世也、○耶路撒冷歟、耶路撒冷歟、殺先知石擊使於爾者乎、我欲集爾赤子、似牝鷄集雛翼下者屢矣、而爾不欲也、
