But the LORD[ is] with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper:[ their] everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.

But you are with me like a mighty warrior. So those who are trying to harm me will trip and fall. They won’t win out over me. They will fail. They’ll be totally put to shame. Their dishonor will never be forgotten.

But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.

And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I[ am] with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

Be not afraid of their faces: for I[ am] with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I[ am] with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

Fear thou not; for I[ am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I[ am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return[ and] be ashamed suddenly.

Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify[ themselves] against me.

Come and see the works of God:[ he is] terrible[ in his] doing toward the children of men.

And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together[ that are] makers of idols.

To me[ belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in[ due] time: for the day of their calamity[ is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that[ their] power is gone, and[ there is] none shut up, or left.

What shall we then say to these things? If God[ be] for us, who[ can be] against us?

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and[ that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

The LORD[ is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD[ is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?When the wicked,[ even] mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

[ By] terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation;[ who art] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off[ upon] the sea:

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame[ and] everlasting contempt.

Fear not, thou worm Jacob,[ and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

For the LORD most high[ is] terrible;[ he is] a great King over all the earth.

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am[ he]. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.As soon then as he had said unto them, I am[ he], they went backward, and fell to the ground.
