斯世之人、宜聽我言、我眷佑以色列族、詎若幽曠之野、杳冥之域哉。何以我民放縱、不肯詣予。

这世代的人哪，你们要看明耶和华的话。我岂向以色列作旷野呢？或作幽暗之地呢？我的百姓为何说：‘我们脱离约束，再不归向你了’？

但你們呢，這世代的人哪，你們要看明白永恆主的話。難道我對以色列竟成了曠野？或是極幽暗之地？我的人民為甚麼說：「我們漫遊無拘了；我們再也不來歸你了」？

斯世之人歟、當明耶和華之言、我於以色列族、豈為幽曠之野、杳冥之域乎、我民奚曰、我已放縱、不復詣爾、

爾曹斯代之人、當聽我言、我於以色列人、豈曾如曠野、豈曾如幽暗之地乎、我民何故言曰、我欲離約束自由、我欲離約束自由或作我欲飄流不復歸爾、

“ You of this generation, consider the word of the Lord:“ Have I been a desert to Israel or a land of great darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We are free to roam; we will come to you no more’?

“ You who are now living, consider my message. I am saying,“ Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been like a land of deep darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We are free to wander. We won’t come to you anymore’?

And you, O generation, behold the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of thick darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ We are free, we will come no more to you’?

“ O my people, listen to the words of the Lord! Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been to them a land of darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ At last we are free from God! We don’t need him anymore!’

Evil generation, pay attention to the word of the LORD! Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of dense darkness? Why do my people claim,“ We will go where we want; we will no longer come to you”?

You generation, look to the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of thick darkness? Why do My people say,‘ We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You’?

O generation, see ye the word of Jehovah. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? or a land of thick darkness? wherefore say my people, We are broken loose; we will come no more unto thee?

Generation, consider Yahweh’s word. Have I been a wilderness to Israel? Or a land of thick darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We have broken loose. We will come to you no more?’

耶書崙體胖、桀驁不馴、肥而多脂、上帝造之、彼反違逆、上帝拯之、彼反藐視。

猶大王烏西亞、以色列王約轄子耶羅破暗時地震、前二年、提哥亞眾牧中、有亞麼士得默示、言以色列民之事、曰、

恐富而侈、不崇事耶和華、或貧而盜、妄發誓言。

我養斯民、使得果腹、遂驕其志、忘我弗顧、

我不在哥林多、爾飽足、富有、乘權、吾誠願爾乘權、俾吾及汝乘權、

昔我與厥祖發誓、將以產乳與蜜之地、錫於斯民、既導之入、使彼食而果腹、身肥體胖、當斯時也、彼從他上帝、而服事之、以干我怒、背我盟約、

既建美室以居、食而果腹、牛羊蕃息、金銀無數、所有之物、既豐且盛、恐爾驕奢、忘爾之上帝耶和華、昔導爾出埃及、脫爾於賤役、

惡者驕泰、以為上帝不加考察、而屬於虛無兮、

我知爾所為、爾不冷不暖、使或冷或暖、則猶可取、惟在冷暖間、我必吐之、爾自稱富有、無所匱缺、不知爾實困苦貧乏、瞽目裸身、

耶和華曰、維昔爾祖、見我所為、有何苛政、故背逆予、崇事虛無、所為放誕、我導斯民、出於埃及、過曠野深坑之地、汲道已絕、陰翳之所、廬舍全無、人蹤罕至、我令此族、入於良田、食其土產、得其嘉物、自是之後、彼乃使我田疇聖業、咸染污衊、深可痛疾、庶民祭司、俱不求予、傳法之師、不識余道、民牧背予、先知託巴力之名而言、所作無益。

拿單告大闢曰、作此者爾也。以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我沐爾以膏、為以色列王、援爾於掃羅手、得據爾主之業、取爾主之妻、以以色列猶大二族、畀爾治理、爾猶以為寡、我更給爾貨財、難以悉計。何藐視我命、行惡於我前、藉亞捫族之刃、殺赫人烏利亞、而取其妻為妻。

撒督族祭司長亞薩哩亞對曰、耶和華錫嘏於民、民獻禮物於殿、我儕食有贏餘、此特其餘耳。

耶和華降命於邑中、撲責斯民、苟有智慧者、無不遵從焉、

彼乃曰、我將舌戰以勝之、口為我有、誰能主之、

爾曹通國之民、無不欺予、故服咒詛、萬有之主耶和華曰、當納什一、入於府庫、使在我室、得有甘旨、以是試我、待我破天之隙、使盈餘之福、傾注而下、不可勝數。萬有之主耶和華曰、我必因爾之故、責彼蝗蟲、不壤爾之土產、不使爾之葡萄、果實零落、

凡我有命、不秘藏於幽密、我豈使雅各子孫、徒然求予哉、我耶和華出言仁義、真實無妄。

歷四十年、爾養民於野、無所匱乏、厥衣不敝、厥足不胝。爾以邦國四境、分賜於民、遂據西宏之地、乃希實本王之國、巴山王噩之邦、斯民之苗裔、爾使之繁衍、如天星眾多、昔爾以土地許錫列祖、後導其子孫入焉、據而有之、迦南人居斯土、爾使民敗之、虜其君臣、惟所欲為。

彼欲從所懽、而不能、遍索弗得、遂曰我憶昔所懽、其贈余者、多於今日、故必歸之、彼不知所得之五穀酒油金銀、皆我所畀、彼反獻於巴力、
