爾之罪惡必自懲、爾之悖逆必自責、可知離棄爾上帝耶和華、不存寅畏之心、乃惡而且苦之事、萬軍之主耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾犯罪違道、必遭刑譴、俾爾知、遐棄我躬、不畏我威者、必備嘗艱苦。

爾之惡行、使爾受刑、爾之違逆、使爾受譴、爾可知可見爾棄主爾之天主、不敬畏我、必至遭難受苦、此乃主萬有之天主所言、

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

You will be punished because you have sinned. You will be corrected for turning away from me. I am the Lord your God. If you desert me, bad things will happen to you. If you do not respect me, you will suffer bitterly. I want you to understand that,” announces the Lord who rules over all.

Your evil will chastise you, and your apostasy will reprove you. Know and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God; the fear of me is not in you, declares the Lord God of hosts.

Your wickedness will bring its own punishment. Your turning from me will shame you. You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to abandon the Lord your God and not to fear him. I, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!

Your own evil will discipline you; your own apostasies will reprimand you. Recognize how evil and bitter it is for you to abandon the LORD your God and to have no fear of me. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD of Armies.

惡人的罪過在他心中深處說話，他眼中也不怕神。（本節或譯：“我心中深處有話說，是關於惡人的罪過，他眼中不怕神”）

你這不是自作自受嗎？耶和華你的神在路上引導你時，你卻離棄了他。

因此，獅子必從林中出來襲擊他們，曠野的豺狼要殺害他們，豹子在他們的城邊窺伺，出城的都必被撕碎；因為他們的過犯眾多，背道的事也無法數算。

我的子民決要背道離開我，他們因著所負的軛而呼求，卻沒有人給他們卸下。

所以，他們必自食其果，必飽嘗自己所設計謀的傷害。

耶和華這樣說：“我離棄了你們的母親，休書在哪裡呢？或者我的債主中，哪一個是我把你們賣了給他的呢？看哪！你們被賣是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被離棄是因你們的過犯。

‘你們連我都不懼怕嗎？在我面前你們也不戰兢嗎？’這是耶和華的宣告。‘我以沙作海的疆界，作永遠的界限，海就不能越過；波浪翻騰，卻不能漫過；怒濤澎湃，仍無法逾越。

以色列啊，回轉吧！回到耶和華你的神那裡，因為你是因自己的罪孽跌倒的。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為14:2）

每逢猶底宣讀完三四段，王就用書記的小刀把書割破，丟進盆中的火裡，直到全卷都在盆中的火裡燒盡了。王和他所有聽見這一切話的臣僕，都不驚懼，也不撕裂衣服。

他們的眼中也不怕神。”

“背道的人哪，回轉吧！我必醫治你們背道的病。”“看哪！我們來到你這裡，因為你是耶和華我們的神！

以色列倔強，好像倔強的母牛，現在耶和華怎樣牧放他們，好像牧放寬闊草場上的羊羔呢？

惡人必被自己的罪孽捉住，他必被自己罪惡的繩索纏住。

但他們不肯聽從，反而硬著頸項，充耳不聞（“反而硬著頸項，充耳不聞”直譯是“轉着固執的肩膊，使自己的耳朵發沉不聽”）。

他的骨頭雖然充滿青春活力，卻必與他一同躺臥在塵土中。邪惡在他的口中雖然甘甜，他把邪惡藏在自己的舌下。他雖然愛惜不捨，含在口中，然而他的食物在他腹中卻要變壞，在他裡面成為眼鏡蛇的毒汁。他吞下了財寶，還要把它吐出來，神要從他的腹中把它掏出來，他必吸吮眼鏡蛇的毒液，腹蛇的舌頭必把他殺死。

這人民為甚麼背道，耶路撒冷為甚麼長久偏離？他們定意行詭詐，不肯回轉。

耶和華對我說：“背道的以色列，比詭詐的猶大還顯得正義。你去，把這些話向北方宣告，說：‘背道的以色列啊，回轉吧！’這是耶和華的宣告。‘我必不向你們變臉，因為我是慈愛的，我必不永遠懷怒。’這是耶和華的宣告。‘只要你承認自己的罪孽，就是悖逆了耶和華你的神，在每棵繁茂的樹下，濫愛外族人的神，沒有聽從我的話。’這是耶和華的宣告。‘背道的人哪，回轉吧！’這是耶和華的宣告。‘因為我才是你們的主。我要每城取一人，每族取二人，把你們帶到錫安。

約西亞王在位的日子，耶和華對我說：“背道的以色列所作的，她怎樣走上各高山，在每棵繁茂的樹下行淫，你看見了沒有？我以為她作了這些事以後，就必回轉過來，可是她沒有回轉。她詭詐的妹妹猶大也看見了。因背道的以色列犯了淫亂，我就給她休書，把她休了。我看見她詭詐的妹妹猶大還是不懼怕，照樣行淫。

現在我告訴你們，我要怎樣處理我的葡萄園：我要把它的籬笆撤去，使它被吞滅；我要把它的圍牆拆毀，使它被踐踏。
