我望救助、致目昏瞶、乃徒勞兮、我所瞻望之國、不能施拯兮、

惟彼叛巴比倫王、遣使至埃及、欲其給以馬匹軍旅、如是能亨通乎、行是事者、得免難乎、爽約能遠害乎、

亞哈斯遣使見亞述王提革拉毘列色曰、我為汝僕汝子、今亞蘭王與以色列王起而攻我、請來救我脫於其手、亞哈斯以耶和華室與王宮府庫、所有之金銀、餽亞述王、亞述王允其所求、往攻大馬色而取之、虜其居民至吉珥、並殺利汛、

耶和華曰、悖逆之子、設謀不由我意、結約不依我神、致罪加罪、起往埃及、未請示於我口、惟以法老為保障、託埃及之蔭庇、禍哉其人、法老之保障、必為爾之羞辱、埃及之蔭庇、必為爾之愧恥、彼之牧伯已在瑣安、使者已至哈內斯、必因其民不能裨益、而懷羞恥、斯民不為輔助、不為裨益、乃為愧為辱也、○論南方牲畜之預示、○經歷艱難困苦之域、其地出牝獅牡獅、蝮蛇飛火蛇、載其輜重於驢背、負其貨財於駝峯、以饋不能益己之民、埃及之助、虛偽無益、故名之曰拉哈伯、兀坐不動、○
