I will spoil the plans of Judah and Jerusalem in this place. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, by the hand of those who intend to take their life. I will provide their corpses as food for the birds of the sky and for the wild animals of the land.

生七子之婦、悲哀慘慘、嗟歎難堪、幾乎絕氣、尚在白晝、其日已入、故懷慚抱愧、所遺之民、我必付於其敵之刃、此乃主所言、○

列國設謀、為主所敗、異邦定計、為主所破、惟主之謀猷、永立不廢、主之心意、世代長存、

如彼問爾曰、我儕可往何處、爾則告之曰、主如是云、當死者就死、當亡於刃者就刃、當饑者就饑、當擄者就擄、

故我必付之於敵人與索其命者之手、其屍必為空中鳥地上獸所食、

將主之僕人之屍、予空中之飛鳥為食、將敬畏主虔誠人之肉軀、飼地上之野獸、在耶路撒冷之四圍、流其血如水、無人葬埋、

任爾設謀、終必無成、任爾定命、終必不立、因天主護祐我儕、因天主護祐我儕原文作因天主與我儕偕○

必付之於索其命者、即巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒及其臣僕之手、厥後伊及之地、仍有人居處、與昔無異、此乃主所言、○

若屬律法者為嗣子、則信歸於虛、所許亦廢矣、

然則我儕因信廢律法乎、非也、乃堅定律法、

食君王之肉、將帥之肉、勇士之肉、馬及乘馬者之肉、自主者、為奴者、無論大小、皆食其肉、我見獸與世之諸王及其眾軍咸集、欲與乘馬者及其軍戰、獸被擒、偽先知曾於獸前行異跡、誘惑受獸印誌及拜獸像者、亦同被擒、二者生投於硫磺火坑中、其餘見殺於乘馬者口中所出之劍、鳥食其肉而飽焉、

因死亡由我牖而進、入我宮室、在逵衢絕孩提、在街市滅壯士、爾耶利米當告之曰、主如是云、人之屍骸、遍偃各處、猶如糞壤於田、亦若被遺之禾束、在刈者之身後、無人拾之、○
