故耶和華曰、時日將至、此地不復稱陀斐特、亦不稱欣嫩子谷、惟稱殺戮谷、

耶和華又曰、時日將至、人必不復以陀法便欣嫩谷名斯土、而以殺戮稱之。

緣此主云、時日將至、斯處不復稱為陀斐特便欣嫩谷、必稱為殺戮谷、

So beware, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when people will no longer call this place Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.

So watch out!” announces the Lord.“ The days are coming when people will not call this place Topheth anymore. And they will not call it the Valley of Ben Hinnom either. Instead, they will call it the Valley of Death.

上到欣嫩子谷，貼近耶布斯的南界（耶布斯就是耶路撒冷）；又上到欣嫩谷西邊的山頂，就是在利乏音谷極北的邊界；

原來陀斐特又深又寬，早已為王預備好了；其中堆的是火與許多木柴。耶和華的氣如一股硫磺火使他着起來。

出去到欣嫩子谷、哈珥西的門口那裏，宣告我所吩咐你的話，

對他們說：『萬軍之耶和華如此說：我要照樣打碎這民和這城，正如人打碎窰匠的瓦器，以致不能再囫圇。並且人要在陀斐特葬埋屍首，甚至無處可葬。

耶和華說：「因此，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。因為要在陀斐特葬埋屍首，甚至無處可葬；並且這百姓的屍首必給空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸作食物，並無人鬨趕。
