「你要在跟你同去的人眼前打碎那瓶，

「耶利米啊，你要在同去的人面前打碎瓦瓶，

“然後你要在跟你同去的人眼前，把那瓶子打碎，

『你要將那瓦瓶摔破，讓跟你同去的人親眼看見，

言竟、爾則毀其缾、使同行者目擊、

斯言既竟、當毀陶器、使同行者目擊焉。

爾言竟、當毀瓶在同行之人目前、

“ Then break the jar while those who go with you are watching,

“ Then you shall break the flask in the sight of the men who go with you,

“ As these men watch you, Jeremiah, smash the jar you brought.

“ Then you are to shatter the jar in the presence of the people going with you,

“ Then you are to break the jar in the sight of the men who accompany you,

“ Then you shall break the flask in the sight of the men who go with you,

Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

“ Then you are to shatter the jar in the presence of the people traveling with you,

Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

The LORD continued,“ Now break the jar in front of those who have come here with you.

“ Then you shall break the container in the sight of the men who go with you,

The Lord said to Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people. Also tell some of the priests to go with you.

Finish reading the scroll. Tie a stone to it. Throw it into the Euphrates River.Then say,‘ In the same way, Babylon will sink down. It will never rise again. That is because I will bring such horrible trouble on it. And its people will fall along with it.’ ” The words of Jeremiah end here.

But other days are coming,” announces the Lord.“ At that time I will send people who pour wine from pitchers. They will pour Moab out like wine. They will empty its pitchers. They will smash its jars.
