This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people and of the priests

The Lord said to Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people. Also tell some of the priests to go with you.

Thus says the Lord,“ Go, buy a potter’s earthenware flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests,

This is what the Lord said to me:“ Go and buy a clay jar. Then ask some of the leaders of the people and of the priests to follow you.

This is what the LORD says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a potter’s earthenware jar, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests.

Thus said Jehovah, Go, and buy a potter’s earthen bottle, and take of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take with you some of the leaders of the people and some of the leaders of the priests.

Thus said Yahweh,“ Go, and buy a potter’s earthen container, and take some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and in their midst stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan. Each man had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up.Then He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’”

So the Lord said to Moses:“ Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.

And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern.”

“ Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.”Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel.And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.

The precious sons of Zion, Valuable as fine gold, How they are regarded as clay pots, The work of the hands of the potter!

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

Then he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.

Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple.

There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar.Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.And the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites, one father’s house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.

Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said,“ He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.

“ Then you shall break the flask in the sight of the men who go with you,and say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Even so I will break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter’s vessel, which cannot be made whole again; and they shall bury them in Tophet till there is no place to bury.

‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ Take these deeds, both this purchase deed which is sealed and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.”

And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes,as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

Then certain of the elders of the land rose up and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying:
