耶和華告我曰、當取陶器、招民長、祭司長、咸集。

This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people and of the priests

The Lord said to Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people. Also tell some of the priests to go with you.

Thus says the Lord,“ Go, buy a potter’s earthenware flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests,

This is what the Lord said to me:“ Go and buy a clay jar. Then ask some of the leaders of the people and of the priests to follow you.

This is what the LORD says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

This is what the Lord says:“ Go and buy a potter’s earthenware jar, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests.

Thus says the Lord:“ Go and get a potter’s earthen flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests.

Thus said Jehovah, Go, and buy a potter’s earthen bottle, and take of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

This is what the Lord says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priests

Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter’s earthen bottle, and[ take] of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take with you some of the leaders of the people and some of the leaders of the priests.

Thus said Yahweh,“ Go, and buy a potter’s earthen container, and take some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;

站在這些像面前的有以色列家的七十個長老，沙番的兒子雅撒尼亞也站在他們中間；各人手裡拿著自己的香爐，香的煙往上升。他對我說：“人子啊！以色列家的眾長老各在自己偶像的房間裡暗中所行的，你看見了嗎？他們說：‘耶和華看不見我們，耶和華已經離開這地了。’”

耶和華對摩西說：“你要從以色列的長老中為我召聚七十個人，就是你認識的民間的長老和官長，領他們到會幕那裡，叫他們與你一同站在那裡。

它的倒塌好像窰匠的瓦器破碎一般，毫不顧惜被徹底粉碎，甚至在碎塊中找不到一塊，可以用來從爐裡取火，或從池中舀水。”

“起來，下到陶匠的家裡去，在那裡我要使你聽到我的話。”我就下到陶匠的家裡去，見他正在轉盤旁工作。陶匠用他手中的泥所做的器皿壞了，他就用這泥再做別的器皿，照著自己的意思去作。

錫安尊貴的眾民，本來和精金一樣貴重；現在怎麼竟被看為瓦器，好像陶匠手中所作的呢？

我們有這寶貝在瓦器裡，是要顯明這極大的能力是屬於神，不是出於我們。

王又派王宮總管以利亞敬、書記舍伯那和祭司中的長老披上麻布，到亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞先知那裡。

那時，祭司長和民間的長老聚集在大祭司該亞法的官邸，

你們要從我的聖所開始，把老年人、少年人、少女、孩童和婦女都殺盡滅絕，只是那些額上有記號的人，你們都不可傷害。”於是他們從殿前那些長老開始殺戮。

後來發現以利亞撒的子孫中，比以他瑪的子孫有更多作首領的，就把他們分開班次；以利亞撒子孫中作首領的，按著他們的家族有十六人；以他瑪子孫中作首領的，按著他們的家族有八人。以抽籤的方式平均地把他們分開，因為在以利亞撒的子孫中和以他瑪的子孫中都有人在聖所作領袖，以及在神面前作領袖。作書記的利未人拿坦業的兒子示瑪雅，在君王、領袖、撒督祭司、亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒，以及眾祭司家族和利未家族的首領面前，把他們的名字記錄下來。在以利亞撒的子孫中，有一家族被選取了；在以他瑪的子孫中，也有一家族被選取了。

到了早上，所有的祭司長和民間的長老商議怎樣對付耶穌，好殺掉他。

祭司長、經學家和長老也同樣譏笑他，說：“他救了別人，卻不能救自己。如果他是以色列的王，現在可以從十字架上下來，我們就信他。

“然後你要在跟你同去的人眼前，把那瓶子打碎，並對他們說：‘萬軍之耶和華這樣說：我必照樣打碎這人民和這城，好像人打碎陶匠的瓦器一樣，不能再修補。人必在陀斐特埋葬屍體，甚至無處可埋葬。

‘萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：你要拿這兩份買賣契約，就是那封好的和沒有加封的，放在一個瓦器裡，使它們可以長久保存。

第二天，猶太人的官長、長老、經學家，都聚集在耶路撒冷，還有大祭司亞那和該亞法、約翰、亞歷山大，以及大祭司的家人，所有的人都在那裡。

那地的長老中有幾個人起來，對集合在場的全體人民說：
