So give their children over to famine; hand them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives be made childless and widows; let their men be put to death, their young men slain by the sword in battle.

願他的兒女成為孤兒，他的妻子成為寡婦！願他的兒女飄流討飯，從荒涼之處出來求乞！願債主牢籠他一切所有的！願陌生人搶走他勞碌得來的！願無人向他佈施恩惠，無人恩待他的孤兒！願他的後人斷絕，名字被塗去，不傳於下代！願耶和華記得他祖宗的罪孽，不塗去他母親的罪過！願這些罪常在耶和華面前！願他們的名字從地上除滅！因為他從未想過要施恩，卻迫害困苦貧窮的和傷心的人，把他們處死。他愛咒罵，咒罵就臨到他；他不喜愛祝福，祝福就遠離他！他拿咒罵當衣服穿上；這咒罵就如水進到他裏面，如油進入他骨頭。願這咒罵當他遮身的衣服，作他經常束腰的帶子！這就是那些與我作對、用惡言議論我的人從耶和華所受的報應。

並要發烈怒，用刀殺你們，使你們的妻子成為寡婦，兒女成為孤兒。

因為死亡從窗戶進來，進入我們的宮殿，從外邊剪除孩童，從街上剪除少年。

我們是無父的孤兒，我們的母親如同寡婦。

因為論到在這地方所生的兒女，又論到在這國中生他們的父母，耶和華如此說：他們必死於致命的疾病，無人哀哭，不得埋葬，在地上如糞土，因刀劍和饑荒而滅絕；他們的屍首必給空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸作食物。

他們的寡婦在我面前比海沙更多；我使滅命者在正午來到，攻擊年輕人的母親，使痛苦驚嚇忽然臨到她身上。

外有刀劍使人喪亡，內有驚恐，少男少女是如此，吃奶的、白髮的也是如此。

「我降瘟疫在你們中間，如在埃及的樣子；用刀殺戮你們的年輕人和你們遭擄掠的馬匹，營中臭氣撲鼻，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。

按公義判斷、察驗人肺腑心腸的萬軍之耶和華啊，求你使我得見你在他們身上報仇，因我已將我的案件向你稟明了。所以，耶和華論到尋索你命的亞拿突人如此說：「他們說：你不要奉耶和華的名說預言，免得你死在我們手中。所以萬軍之耶和華如此說：看哪，我必懲罰他們；他們的壯丁必被刀劍殺死，他們的兒女必因饑荒而死，他們當中必無任何倖存者；因為在他們受罰之年，我必使災禍臨到亞拿突人。」

所以，耶和華使迦勒底人的王來攻擊他們，在他們聖殿裏用刀殺了他們的壯丁，不憐憫他們的少男少女、老人長者。耶和華把所有的人都交在他手裏。

然而，耶和華與我同在，好像可怕的勇士。因此，迫害我的都絆跌，不能得勝；他們大大蒙羞，由於行事沒有智慧，必永遠受那不能忘懷的羞辱。考驗義人、察看人肺腑心腸的萬軍之耶和華啊，求你使我得見你在他們身上報仇，因我已將我的案件向你稟明了。

音麥的兒子巴施戶珥祭司作耶和華殿的總管，聽見耶利米預言這些事，就打耶利米先知，用耶和華殿裏上便雅憫門內的枷鎖，把他鎖在那裏。次日，巴施戶珥開枷釋放耶利米。於是耶利米對他說：「耶和華不叫你的名為巴施戶珥，而叫你瑪歌珥‧米撒畢，因耶和華如此說：『看哪，我要使你和你的眾朋友驚嚇；你們要親眼看見他們倒在仇敵的刀下。我必將猶大人全都交在巴比倫王的手中，他要把他們擄到巴比倫去，用刀殺他們。我要將這城中一切的貨財和勞碌得來的，並一切的珍寶，以及猶大君王所有的寶物，都交在仇敵手中。仇敵要搶奪他們，抓住他們，把他們帶到巴比倫去。你，巴施戶珥，和所有住在你家中的人都必被擄；你和你的朋友，就是你向他們說假預言的，都要到巴比倫去，死在那裏，葬在那裏。』」

銅匠亞歷山大多方害我；主必照他所行的報應他。

耶和華啊，你認識我，看見我，你察驗我向你的心如何。求你將他們拉出來，如將宰的羊，為殺戮的日子分別出來。

他們若問你說：『我們往哪裏去呢？』你就告訴他們，耶和華如此說：『定為死亡的，必致死亡；定為刀殺的，必被刀殺；定為饑荒的，必遭饑荒；定為擄掠的，必被擄掠。』」「我命定四樣災害臨到他們，就是刀劍殺戮、羣狗拖拉、空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸吞吃毀滅。這是耶和華說的。
