願主使其子亡於饑、其眾死於刃、其妻為嫠而無子、壯男死於疫癘、少者於戰為鋒刃所殺、

So give their children over to famine; hand them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives be made childless and widows; let their men be put to death, their young men slain by the sword in battle.

So let their children die of hunger. Let my enemies be killed in war. Let their wives lose their children and husbands. Let their men be put to death. Let their young men be killed in battle.

並且我要發怒，用刀殺死你們，使你們的妻子成為寡婦，你們的兒女成為孤兒。

因為死亡從窗戶上來，進入我們的堡壘；要從街上剪除孩童，從廣場上剪除年輕人。

我們成為孤兒，沒有父親，我們的母親好像寡婦一樣。

因為論到這地方出生的兒女，和在這地生養他們的父母，耶和華這樣說：“他們都必死於致命的疫症，沒有人為他們哀哭，他們的屍體也沒有人埋葬，必在地面上成為糞肥。他們必被刀劍和饑荒所滅，他們的屍體成了空中飛鳥和地上走獸的食物。”

我使他們寡婦的數目比海沙還多；我使行毀滅的在午間臨到我的子民，打擊年輕人的母親，使痛苦的驚恐忽然臨到她們身上。

外有刀劍，內有驚恐，使人喪亡，使少男少女，嬰孩和白髮老人，盡都喪亡。

“我在你們中間降下瘟疫，正如臨到埃及的瘟疫一樣；我用刀殺掉你們的年輕人，你們被擄去的馬匹也遭殺戮；我使你們營裡死屍的臭氣撲鼻，但你們仍不歸向我。”這是耶和華的宣告。

但萬軍之耶和華啊！你是憑公義審判人，試驗人肺腑和心腸的。求你讓我看見你在他們身上施行的報復，因為我已經把我的案件向你陳明了。因此耶和華指責那些亞拿突人，他們尋索你命，向你恐嚇說：“不要奉耶和華的名說預言，免得你死在我們手中。”萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我要懲罰他們；他們的年輕人必死在刀下，他們的兒女必因饑荒而死。他們中間必沒有餘剩的，因為在懲罰他們的年日，我必使災禍臨到亞拿突人身上。”

耶和華使迦勒底人的王上來攻打他們，在他們的聖殿裡用刀殺了他們的壯丁，少男和少女以及年老衰弱的，他們都不憐惜；耶和華把所有這些人都交在迦勒底王的手裡。

但耶和華與我同在，像一個威武可畏的勇士，因此，逼迫我的都必跌倒，不能得勝。他們必大大蒙羞，因為他們失敗了；這永遠的恥辱是人不能忘記的。萬軍之耶和華啊！你試驗義人，察看人的心腸肺腑；求你讓我看見你在他們身上施行的報復，因為我已經把我的案件向你陳明了。

音麥的兒子巴施戶珥祭司，就是耶和華殿的總管，他聽見了耶利米預言這些事，就毆打耶利米先知，把他枷鎖在耶和華殿裡，朝向便雅憫的上門內。次日，巴施戶珥把耶利米從枷鎖上解下來，耶利米就對他說：“耶和華不再稱你的名為巴施戶珥，卻要稱你為瑪歌珥．米撒畢（“瑪歌珥．米撒畢”意即“四圍驚慌”）。因為耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都驚惶失措；他們必倒在他們仇敵的刀下，你也必親眼看見。我要把全猶大交在巴比倫王手中；他要把他們擄到巴比倫去，或用刀擊殺他們。我要把這城的一切財物、一切勞碌得來的、一切珍寶和猶大列王的一切寶物，都交在他們仇敵的手中；仇敵要把這一切搶劫掠奪，帶回巴比倫去。巴施戶珥啊！你和所有住在你家裡的人，都要被擄去；你和你所有的朋友，就是你向他們說假預言的，都要到巴比倫去，死在那裡，也葬在那裡。’”

銅匠亞歷山大作了許多惡事陷害我，主必按著他所行的報應他。

但耶和華啊！你認識我，了解我，你察驗了我對你的心意。求你把他們拉出來，好像將宰的羊一般；求你把他們分別出來，留待宰殺的日子。

如果他們問你：‘我們要去哪裡？’你就告訴他們：‘耶和華這樣說：該死亡的，就死亡；該被刀劍所殺的，就被刀劍所殺；該遭遇饑荒的，就遭遇饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄去！’我要命定四種刑罰對付他們，就是刀劍殺戮，屍體被野狗拖走，被空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸吞吃與毀滅。”這是耶和華的宣告。
