and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

And then it does what is evil in my eyes. It does not obey me. Then I will think again about the good things I had wanted to do for it.

and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.

but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would.

However, if it does what is evil in my sight by not listening to me, I will relent concerning the good I had said I would do to it.

if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will relent of the good with which I said that I would bless it.

if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it.

if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

However, if it does what is evil in My sight by not listening to My voice, I will relent concerning the good I had said I would do to it.

If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

But if that nation does what displeases me and does not obey me, then I will cancel the good I promised to do to it.

義人若轉離他的義行，而行不公道的事，他就必因此而死亡。

因此永恆主以色列的上帝發神諭說：「我固然曾經說過：你和你父的家必永遠在我面前往來」，但現在永恆主卻發神諭說：「我絕不容你們這樣行了，因為尊重我的、我必重看他；藐視我的、他就必被輕視。

撒母耳對掃羅說：『你幹了糊塗事了；假使你遵守永恆主你的上帝所吩咐你的命令，那麼永恆主就會在以色列中堅立你的王位、直到永遠。

義人若轉離他的義行，而行不公道的事，照惡人所行一切可厭惡之事而行，他哪能活着呢？他所行的一切義都不被記住；他必因他所陰謀的不忠實和所犯的罪而死於其中。

『我設立掃羅為王、我後悔了，因為他退轉而不跟從我，不實行我吩咐的話。』撒母耳很着急，終夜向永恆主哀呼。

至於那偏行彎曲路的人、願永恆主將他們跟作孽的人一起帶走。願平安興隆歸於以色列。

直到死的日子撒母耳再也沒有見着掃羅，因為撒母耳為了掃羅的事、很是悲傷。永恆主、也因立了掃羅為以色列的王而後悔。

我只吩咐他們以下這一件，說：「你們要聽我的聲音，我就做你們的上帝，你們就做我的子民；你們要行我所吩咐你們的一切道路，好得平安順遂。」但他們卻不聽從，不傾耳以聽，竟憑着自己的計謀，隨自己頑強之壞心思而行，向後而不向前。自從你們列祖出埃及地那一天到今日，我差遣我的眾僕人神言人去找你們，我及時而屢次地差遣他們，但這人民卻不聽從，不傾耳以聽，竟硬着脖子作壞事，比他們列祖還厲害。『你要將這一切話告訴他們，雖則他們不聽從；你要呼喚他們，儘管他們不應；你要對他們說：「這就是不聽永恆主他們之上帝的聲音，不接受管教的國；忠信已經滅沒，被割斷離開他們的口了。

剪除那些退轉而不跟從永恆主的，那些不尋求永恆主、不求問他的。』

這些看見我的榮耀、我的神迹、我在埃及和曠野所行的神迹、仍然這樣十次八次地試探我、不聽我聲音的人、

按你們窺探那地的日數四十天、一天頂一年，你們必擔當你們的罪罰四十年，你們就知道我跟你們作對是甚麼樣子。」

七月一日你也要為誤犯了罪的人或因愚戇無知而犯了罪的人而這樣行，好使你們為殿除罪染。
