And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”

But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil.My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green,to declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

He is a lush plant before the sun, and his shoots spread over his garden.

The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought:“ Judah mourns, and her gates languish; her people lament on the ground, and the cry of Jerusalem goes up.Her nobles send their servants for water; they come to the cisterns; they find no water; they return with their vessels empty; they are ashamed and confounded and cover their heads.Because of the ground that is dismayed, since there is no rain on the land, the farmers are ashamed; they cover their heads.Even the doe in the field forsakes her newborn fawn because there is no grass.The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights; they pant for air like jackals; their eyes fail because there is no vegetation.
