他正像原野上的杜松，福樂來到，他也看不見，他卻要住在曠野焦乾之處，無人居住之鹹地。

因他必像沙漠的杜松，不见福乐来到，却要住旷野干旱之处，无人居住的碱地。

他必像沙漠里的矮树，不见福乐来到；他要住在旷野干旱之处，无人居住的盐地。

这样的人毫无福乐，像沙漠中的灌木。他要住在旷野中干旱无人的盐碱地。

因他必像沙漠的杜松，不見福樂來到，卻要住曠野乾旱之處，無人居住的鹼地。

他必像沙漠裏的矮樹，不見福樂來到；他要住在曠野乾旱之處，無人居住的鹽地。

這樣的人毫無福樂，像沙漠中的灌木。他要住在曠野中乾旱無人的鹽鹼地。

蓋彼必如沙漠之杜松、不沾膏澤、居於曠野乾燥之地、斥鹵之區、無人之處、

譬彼杜松、生於曠野、其地斥鹵、其壤燥烈、人蹤罕至、不沾膏澤。

必如焭獨人在曠野、不見福降、或作必如杜松生於曠野不見雨澤居於沙漠旱乾之處、無人居之滷地、

That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

They will be like a bush in a dry and empty land. They will not enjoy success when it comes. They will live in dry places in the desert. It is a land of salt where no one else lives.

He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.

They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.

He will be like a juniper in the Arabah; he cannot see when good comes but dwells in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.

For he will be like a bush in the desert, And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt that is not inhabited.

For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.

又看見遍地有硫磺、有鹽鹵、有火迹，沒有播種，沒有生產，連草都不長，好像所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁傾覆的景象，就是永恆主在怒氣怒火中所傾覆的，

他必不得觀覽河道，與流蜜和奶酪的江河谿谷。

我使原野做牠的住宅，使鹹地當牠的居所。

你們要逃跑，逃命！像曠野的野驢。

願他們像房頂上的草，未長大就枯乾；收割的不夠一把，捆禾的不夠滿懷；過路的也不說：『願永恆主的祝福歸於你們』；『我們奉永恆主的名給你們祝福。』

故此萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝發神諭說：『我指着永活的我來起誓：摩押必像所多瑪，亞捫人必像蛾摩拉，都被刺草和鹽坑佔據，荒涼涼到永遠。我剩下的餘民必擄掠他們，我國中餘剩的人必得着他們以為業。

有一個職司手扶攙王、的軍官回答神人說：『除非永恆主在天上開了罅隙，哪裏有這事呢？』以利沙說：『你就看吧，你必親眼看見，卻喫不着。』

『蒲草沒有泥沼、哪能昂然發長呢？菖蒲沒有水、哪能旺大呢？當青葱時、還沒拔起，它比百草先枯乾。凡忘記上帝的人、其行徑也是這樣；不拜上帝的人、其希望一定滅沒。

他不能脫離黑暗；他的幼枝、火焰必燒乾，他必因上帝口中的氣而過去。他不可信靠虛假，而走迷了路，因為虛假必成為他的報應。他的日期未到之先、這事就必成就，他的枝子不能青綠。他必像葡萄樹掉落末熟的葡萄，又像橄欖樹的花、一開便謝。因為不拜上帝之輩必不能孕育，賄賂的住宅、火必燒滅。

那一天亞比米勒整天攻打那城，就把城攻取，殺了其中的人民；又把城拆毁，撒上了鹽。

因為你們必如聖篤耨香樹凋殘了葉子；必如無水澆灌的園子。

那軍官回答神人說：『除非永恆主在天上開了罅隙，哪會有呢？』神人說：『你就看吧，你必親眼看見，卻喫不着。』這事果然應驗到他身上了：眾民在城門口直踐踏他，他就死了。

只是沼澤之地和窪濕之處仍不得治好，依然留着、以便出鹽。

惡人卻不是這樣：惡人乃像糠粃、給風吹散而飄蕩。

惡人發生如草，一切作孽之人一時發旺，正是要永久消滅的。
