Thus saith the LORD; Cursed[ be] the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

耶和华如此说：倚靠人血肉的膀臂，心中离弃耶和华的，那人有祸了！

耶和华如此说：“倚靠人，以血肉为膀臂，心中离弃耶和华的，那人该受诅咒！

耶和华说：“信靠世人、倚靠血肉之躯、背叛耶和华的人该受咒诅！

耶和华这样说：“倚靠世人，恃凭肉体为自己的力量，心里偏离耶和华的，这人该受咒诅。

耶和華如此說：倚靠人血肉的膀臂，心中離棄耶和華的，那人有禍了！

耶和華如此說：「倚靠人，以血肉為膀臂，心中離棄耶和華的，那人該受詛咒！

耶和華說：「信靠世人、倚靠血肉之軀、背叛耶和華的人該受咒詛！

耶和華這樣說：“倚靠世人，恃憑肉體為自己的力量，心裡偏離耶和華的，這人該受咒詛。

永恆主這麼說：『那倚靠世人、以人的血肉為自己的膀臂、其心卻轉離永恆主的、那種人該受咒詛。

耶和華曰、凡賴世人、恃血肉之臂、而心離耶和華者、其人見詛、

耶和華曰、人背逆予、求人助己、惟人力是恃、禍必不遠。

主如是云、凡人心棄我、我原文作主倚恃人、倚恃肉體者、倚恃肉體者原文作以肉體為其臂者斯人有禍、

This is what the Lord says:“ Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.

The Lord says,“ Those who trust in human beings are under my curse. They depend on human strength. Their hearts turn away from me.

Thus says the Lord:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.

This is what the Lord says:“ Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.

This is what the LORD says: Cursed is the person who trusts in mankind. He makes human flesh his strength, and his heart turns from the LORD.

This is what the Lord says:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord.

Thus says the Lord:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah.

This is what the Lord says: The man who trusts in mankind, who makes human flesh his strength and turns his heart from the Lord is cursed.

The LORD says,“ I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, and whose hearts have turned away from the LORD.

Yahweh says:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.

[ It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.[ It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Put not your trust in princes,[ nor] in the son of man, in whom[ there is] no help.His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

Cease ye from man, whose breath[ is] in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because[ they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!Yet he also[ is] wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.Now the Egyptians[ are] men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him,[ he] will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver[ it; and] passing over he will preserve it.Turn ye unto[ him from] whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you[ for] a sin.Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire[ is] in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt[ your] confusion.For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.They were all ashamed of a people[ that] could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence[ come] the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people[ that] shall not profit[ them].For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength[ is] to sit still.

With him[ is] an arm of flesh; but with us[ is] the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so[ is] Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.

Surely men of low degree[ are] vanity,[ and] men of high degree[ are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they[ are] altogether[ lighter] than vanity.

And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I[ am] the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.

The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom,[ departing] from the LORD.

Yea, truth faileth; and he[ that] departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw[ it], and it displeased him that[ there was] no judgment.
