then kings who sit on David’s throne will come through the gates of this city with their officials. They and their officials will come riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by the men of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, and this city will be inhabited forever.

If you do this, then the kings and princes who follow in David’s succession and ride in chariots or on horses will continue to enter through these gates, as well as their officials and the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem. This city will always be filled with people.

你們若切實遵行這話，就必有坐大衛寶座的君王和他的臣僕百姓，或坐車或騎馬，從這王宮的各門進入。

他的政權與平安必加增無窮。他必在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平公義使國堅定穩固，從今直到永遠。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成就這事。

你的家和你的國必在你面前永遠堅立，你的王位也必堅定，直到永遠。』」

「因為耶和華如此說：大衛家必永遠不斷有人坐在以色列家的寶座上；

但是你們是來到錫安山，永生神的城，就是天上的耶路撒冷，那裏有千千萬萬的天使，

「你們要記念這日，世世代代守這日為耶和華的節日，作為你們永遠的定例。

你就對他們說：『耶和華如此說：看哪，我必使這地所有的居民，就是坐大衛寶座的君王、祭司和先知，並耶路撒冷所有的居民，都酩酊大醉。

你若以純正的心和正直行在我面前，效法你父大衛所行的，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，謹守我的律例典章，我就必堅固你在以色列國度的王位，直到永遠，正如我應許你父大衛說：『你的子孫必不斷有人坐以色列的王位。』

耶和華憑信實向大衛起了誓，絕不改變：「我要立你身所生的坐在你的寶座上。你的眾子若謹守我的約和我所教導他們的法度，他們的子孫必永遠坐在你的寶座上。」因為耶和華揀選了錫安，願意當作自己的居所：「這是我永遠安歇之所；我要住在這地方，因為我願意在這裏。

俘擄了他的騎兵一千七百人，步兵二萬人。大衛把所有戰馬的蹄筋砍斷，只留下一百輛戰車。

他說：「管轄你們的王必用這樣的方式：他必派你們的兒子為他駕車，趕馬，在他的戰車前奔跑。

我也要使他的後裔存到永遠，使他的寶座如天之久。「倘若他的子孫離棄我的律法，不照我的典章行，背棄我的律例，不遵守我的誡命，我就要用杖責罰他們的過犯，用鞭責罰他們的罪孽。只是我不將我的慈愛全然收回，也不叫我的信實廢除。我必不毀損我的約，也不改變我口中所出的話。我僅此一次指着自己的神聖起誓，我絕不向大衛說謊！他的後裔要存到永遠，他的寶座在我面前如太陽，又如月亮永遠堅立；天上的見證是確實的。」（細拉）

只是王不可為自己加添馬匹，也不可為加添馬匹使百姓回埃及去，因耶和華曾對你們說：『不可再回那條路去。』

他將要為大，稱為至高者的兒子；主神要把他祖先大衛的王位給他。他要作雅各家的王，直到永遠；他的國沒有窮盡。」

耶和華如此說：「要把這人登記為無子，是平生不得亨通的人；因為他後裔中再無一人得亨通，能坐在大衛的寶座上治理猶大。」
