then kings who sit on David’s throne will come through the gates of this city with their officials. They and their officials will come riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by the men of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, and this city will be inhabited forever.

If you do this, then the kings and princes who follow in David’s succession and ride in chariots or on horses will continue to enter through these gates, as well as their officials and the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem. This city will always be filled with people.

如果你們遵守我的命令，大衛的子孫必繼續做王，並乘車、騎馬率領臣民進出王宮。

但你們現在來到了錫安山，永活上帝的城邑，天上的耶路撒冷，歡聚著千萬天使的地方。

你們要記住這一天，守為耶和華的節期，作為世世代代永遠的定例。

你就告訴他們，『耶和華說，我要使坐在大衛寶座上的君王以及祭司、先知、耶路撒冷人和這片土地上所有的居民都酩酊大醉；

如果你像你父親大衛一樣存誠實正直的心事奉我，遵行我的一切吩咐，謹守我的律例和典章，我必使你的王位在以色列永遠穩固，正如我曾向你父親大衛應許要使他的王朝永不中斷。

耶和華曾向大衛起了永不廢棄的誓說：「我必使你的後代繼承你的王位。你的後代若守我的約，遵行我教導他們的法度，他們的子孫必永遠坐在你的寶座上。」因為耶和華已經揀選了錫安，願意將錫安作為祂的居所。祂說：「這是我永遠的居所；我要住在這裡，因為我喜愛這地方。

俘獲一千七百名騎兵和兩萬名步兵，砍斷拉戰車的馬匹的蹄筋，只留下夠拉一百輛戰車的馬匹。

「將來管轄你們的王會徵用你們的兒子做他的戰車兵、騎兵，要他們跑在他的戰車前面。

我要使他的後裔永無窮盡，讓他的王位與天同存。如果他的後代背棄我的律法，不遵行我的典章，觸犯我的律例，不守我的誡命，我就會因他們的罪用杖懲罰他們，用鞭子責打他們。但我不會收回我的慈愛，也不會背棄我的信實。我必不毀約，也不食言。因我曾憑自己的聖潔向大衛起誓，我絕無謊言。他的後裔必永無窮盡，他的王位必在我面前如日長存，又如天上亙古不變的月亮，永遠堅立。」（細拉）

王不可擁有大量馬匹，也不可派人到埃及去購買馬匹，因為耶和華已經告訴你們不可回埃及。

祂偉大無比，將被稱為至高者的兒子，主上帝要把祂祖先大衛的王位賜給祂。祂要永遠統治以色列，祂的國度永無窮盡。」

耶和華說：「你要把這人作為無兒無女、一生失敗的人記錄下來，因為他的後裔中無一人能成功地繼承大衛的寶座，統治猶大。」
