「你們這硬着頸項、心與耳未受割禮的人，常時抗拒聖靈！你們的祖宗怎樣，你們也怎樣。

我說：你只要敬畏我，領受訓誨；如此，你的住處不致照我所擬定的除滅。只是你們從早起來就在一切事上敗壞自己。

因為我素來知道你是頑梗的－你的頸項是鐵的；你的額是銅的。

你要對他們說：這就是不聽從耶和華－他們神的話、不受教訓的國民；從他們的口中，誠實滅絕了。」

使人處事領受智慧、仁義、公平、正直的訓誨，

使智慧人聽見，增長學問，使聰明人得着智謀，

其實你恨惡管教，將我的言語丟在背後。

耶路撒冷啊，你當受教，免得我心與你生疏，免得我使你荒涼，成為無人居住之地。

你就對他們說：『耶和華說：因為你們列祖離棄我，隨從別神，事奉敬拜，不遵守我的律法，而且你們行惡比你們列祖更甚；因為各人隨從自己頑梗的惡心行事，甚至不聽從我，

光來到世間，世人因自己的行為是惡的，不愛光，倒愛黑暗，定他們的罪就是在此。凡作惡的便恨光，並不來就光，恐怕他的行為受責備。但行真理的必來就光，要顯明他所行的是靠神而行。」

因為他們厭棄我的典章，不順從我的律例，干犯我的安息日，他們的心隨從自己的偶像。

說：我怎麼恨惡訓誨，心中藐視責備，

你們當受我的教訓，不受白銀；寧得知識，勝過黃金。

我從早起來，差遣我的僕人眾先知去，說：『你們各人當回頭，離開惡道，改正行為，不隨從事奉別神，就必住在我所賜給你們和你們列祖的地上。』只是你們沒有聽從我，也沒有側耳而聽。
