I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet

Thou hast despised my holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah your God.But the children rebelled against me; they walked not in my statutes, neither kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

Six days shall work be done: but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work: it is a sabbath unto Jehovah in all your dwellings.

And he said unto them, The Son of man is lord of the sabbath.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments. And on the sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
