迦薩成了光禿；亞實基倫完啦；長頸人餘剩之民哪，你刻劃身體、要到幾時呢？

有人從示劍、示羅、和撒瑪利亞來，共有八十人，鬍鬚都剃光，衣服全撕裂，身體都刻劃破，手裏拿着素祭和乳香、要奉到永恆主的殿。

不可為死人將刻紋劃在你們的肉身上，也不可在你們身上割花紋：我是永恆主。

當那日子、主萬軍之永恆主叫人哀哭號咷，頭上光禿，腰束麻布；

地上的君王、大官、千夫長、富戶、壯士、和一切為奴的、自主的、都藏在洞窟和山上的磐石裏；

那時人民怎樣，祭司也必怎樣；僕人怎樣，主人也必怎樣；婢女怎樣，主母也必怎樣；買物的怎樣，賣物的也必怎樣；借給人的怎樣，向人借的也必怎樣；放債的怎樣，借債的也必怎樣。

因此永恆主論猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬、是這麼說的：『人必不為他舉哀，好像人舉哀說：「哀啊，我哥哥！」「哀啊，我姐姐！」人必不為他舉哀，好像人舉哀說：「哀啊，主上啊！」「哀啊，陛下呀！」他必被埋葬，像驢之被埋葬，被拖拉，被拋擲於耶路撒冷城門之外。』

『因為各人頭上光禿，各人鬍鬚剃淨，各人手有刻劃傷，各人腰束麻布。

我聽得到他對其餘的人說：『要跟着他走遍城裏，以行擊殺；你們的眼不可顧惜，你們不要可憐。要將年老的、年壯的、和處女、幼小的和婦女、全都殺掉滅盡，從聖所殺起；但凡有刀字記號的、你們可別觸害着。』於是他們從聖殿面前做長老的人殺起。

耶路撒冷啊，把頭髮剪下來，丟掉吧；在無草木的高處上舉哀吧；因為永恆主棄絕擯棄了他所惱怒的世代了。」

因此永恆主從以色列中剪除了頭與尾，就在一日之間、剪除棕枝與燈草——（長老和體面人乃是頭；以虛假指教人的、神言人乃是尾。那些領導這人民的、使他們走錯了路；那些被領導的、都混混亂亂。）故此他們的壯丁、主不喜歡，他們的孤兒寡婦、主不憐憫；因為各人都是不拜上帝、作壞事的，各人的口都說着愚昧的話。雖有這一切，永恆主的怒氣還未轉消；他的手仍然伸着。

他們必死於致命的疫癘，無人舉哀，不得葬埋，等於糞土在地上。他們必被刀劍和饑荒滅盡；他們的屍體必給空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸做食物。

那你就要對他們說：「永恆主這麼說：看吧！我必使這地所有的居民，使那坐大衛寶座的列王、祭司和神言人、以及耶路撒冷所有的居民、都充滿了沉醉。

因為你看，永恆主一發命令，大房屋就被擊毁、成了碎片，小房屋則被打壞、到四分五裂。

我看見死了的人、大的小的、都站在寶座前：案卷都展開了。另有一卷是生命冊、也展開了。死了的人、都從這些案卷所記的、照他們所行的受審判。
