So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were going to marry his daughters.“ Get up,” he said.“ Get out of this place, for the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

Therefore I consider this to be good because of the present distress: It is fine for a man to remain as he is.Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

Look, the days are coming when they will say,‘ The women without children, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed, are fortunate!’

Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
