爾則告之曰、耶和華云、爾祖棄我、而從他神、服事崇拜、且背我、不守我法律、

爾則告之曰、主云、因爾列祖違棄我、從他神、奉事崇拜、棄我不守我法、

then say to them,‘ It is because your ancestors forsook me,’ declares the Lord,‘ and followed other gods and served and worshiped them. They forsook me and did not keep my law.

When they say this, here is what you should tell them.‘ I did it because your people of long ago deserted me,’ announces the Lord.‘ They followed other gods. They served them and worshiped them. They deserted me. They did not obey my law.

then you shall say to them:‘ Because your fathers have forsaken me, declares the Lord, and have gone after other gods and have served and worshiped them, and have forsaken me and have not kept my law,

“ Then you will give them the Lord’s reply:‘ It is because your ancestors were unfaithful to me. They worshiped other gods and served them. They abandoned me and did not obey my word.

Then you will answer them,‘ Because your ancestors abandoned me— this is the LORD’s declaration— and followed other gods, served them, and bowed in worship to them. Indeed, they abandoned me and did not keep my instruction.

Then you are to say to them,‘ It is because your forefathers have abandoned Me,’ declares the Lord,‘ and have followed other gods, and served and worshiped them; but they have abandoned Me and have not kept My Law.

then you shall say to them,‘ Because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ says the Lord;‘ they have walked after other gods and have served them and worshiped them, and have forsaken Me and not kept My law.

then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith Jehovah, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

Then you will answer them: Because your fathers abandoned Me”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and followed other gods, served them, and worshiped them. Indeed, they abandoned Me and did not keep My instruction.

Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

Then tell them that the LORD says,‘ It is because your ancestors rejected me and paid allegiance to other gods. They have served them and worshiped them. But they have rejected me and not obeyed my law.

then you shall tell them,‘ Because your fathers have forsaken me,’ says Yahweh,‘ and have walked after other gods, have served them, have worshiped them, have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.

but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods.They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves.Therefore the Lord was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance.He gave them into the hands of the nations, and their foes ruled over them. (niv)

And the answer will be:“ It is because this people abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, the covenant he made with them when he brought them out of Egypt.They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, gods he had not given them. (niv)

“ Why should I forgive you? Your children have forsaken me and sworn by gods that are not gods. I supplied all their needs, yet they committed adultery and thronged to the houses of prostitutes.They are well-fed, lusty stallions, each neighing for another man’s wife.Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord.“ Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this? (niv)

But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.” (niv)

For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do— living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. (niv)

People will answer,‘ Because they have forsaken the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them— that is why the Lord brought all this disaster on them.’” (niv)

They will be exposed to the sun and the moon and all the stars of the heavens, which they have loved and served and which they have followed and consulted and worshiped. They will not be gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground. (niv)

“ But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies.So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.“ But as soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in your sight. Then you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies so that they ruled over them. And when they cried out to you again, you heard from heaven, and in your compassion you delivered them time after time.“ You warned them in order to turn them back to your law, but they became arrogant and disobeyed your commands. They sinned against your ordinances, of which you said,‘ The person who obeys them will live by them.’ Stubbornly they turned their backs on you, became stiff- necked and refused to listen. (niv)

And the answer will be:‘ Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God and have worshiped and served other gods.’” (niv)

But you have forsaken me and served other gods, so I will no longer save you.Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you when you are in trouble!” (niv)

The priests did not ask,‘ Where is the Lord?’ Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols. (niv)

we have not obeyed the Lord our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets.All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you.“ Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing on us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem. (niv)

They forsook the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They aroused the Lord’s angerbecause they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. (niv)

Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.” (niv)
