Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.

So the Lord says to Jeremiah,“ If you turn away from your sins, I will heal you. And then you will be able to serve me. Speak words that are worthy, not worthless. Then you will be speaking for me. Let these people turn to you. But you must not turn to them.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.

This is how the Lord responds:“ If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you!

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will take you back; you will stand in my presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. It is they who must return to you; you must not return to them.

Therefore, this is what the Lord says:“ If you return, then I will restore you— You will stand before Me; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, You will become My spokesman. They, for their part, may turn to you, But as for you, you are not to turn to them.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ If you return, Then I will bring you back; You shall stand before Me; If you take out the precious from the vile, You shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, But you must not return to them.

Therefore thus saith Jehovah, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, that thou mayest stand before me; and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: they shall return unto thee, but thou shalt not return unto them.

Because of this, the LORD said,“ You must repent of such words and thoughts! If you do, I will restore you to the privilege of serving me. If you say what is worthwhile instead of what is worthless, I will again allow you to be my spokesman. They must become as you have been. You must not become like them.

Therefore Yahweh says,“ If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.

“万军之耶和华说，‘你若遵行我的道，谨守我的吩咐，便可以管理我的家，看守我的院宇。我必让你在这些侍立的天使中间自由出入。

他们要教导我的子民辨别圣与俗，洁净与不洁净。

你的祭司强解我的律法，亵渎我的圣物。他们圣俗不分，也不教导人分辨洁净的和污秽的。他们藐视我的安息日，亵渎我。

你们必须明辨什么是圣洁的、什么是世俗的，什么是洁净的、什么是不洁净的。

干粮是给成年人吃的，他们的心思历经锻炼，能够分辨善恶。

愿荣耀归给我们的救主——独一的上帝！祂能保守你们不失足犯罪，使你们无瑕无疵、欢欢喜喜地站在祂的荣耀面前。

因为我会赐给你们口才、智慧，使你们的仇敌全无反驳的余地。

因为上帝的整个计划，我没有向你们避而不宣。

耶稣继续对门徒说：“谁听从你们，就是听从我；谁拒绝你们，就是拒绝我；拒绝我的，就是拒绝差我来的那位。”

我现在是要赢得人的赞同吗？还是要赢得上帝的赞同？难道我是要讨好人吗？如果我仍旧要讨好人，我就不是基督的奴仆了。

你要把该说的话传给他，我会赐你们口才，教你们如何行事。他要替你向百姓说话，做你的发言人，你对他来说就像上帝一样。

他们是叛逆的，不论他们听不听，你都要把我的话告诉他们。

去吧！我必赐给你口才，指示你说什么话。”

耶和华对我说：“就算摩西和撒母耳站在我面前求情，我也不会怜悯这些百姓。你把他们从我面前赶走吧！

耶利米说：“不会的。只要你听从耶和华吩咐我对你说的话，你就可以平安无事，保全性命。耶和华已指示我，如果你不肯投降，

因为到时候圣灵必指示你们当说的话。”

有时我打算不再提起耶和华，不再奉祂的名宣讲，但祂的话如一团火在我心中燃烧，憋在我骨头里，我无法忍住不说。

天使回答说：“我是侍立在上帝面前的加百列，奉命来向你报这喜讯。

你看那精明能干的人，他必侍立在君王面前，不会效力于泛泛之辈。

你们要时刻警醒，常常祷告，使你们能逃过这一切将要发生的灾难，并能站在人子面前。”

祂又说：“人子啊，你要留心听我说的一切话，牢记在心。你要到你那些被掳的同胞那里，不论他们听不听，你都要向他们宣告，‘主耶和华这样说。’”

有一位先知名叫以利亚，是基列的提斯比人。他对亚哈说：“我凭我事奉的以色列的上帝——永活的耶和华起誓，如果我不祷告，这几年必没有雨水和甘露。”

“我是耶和华，你要把我吩咐你的一切话告诉埃及王法老。”摩西却对耶和华说：“你看，我拙口笨舌，法老怎肯听我的话？”

但为了叫福音的真理常在你们当中，我们丝毫没有向他们妥协。

母亲啊，我真不幸，因为你生了我这个跟全犹大争论、激辩的人。我没有向人借贷，也没有借贷给人，然而人人都咒骂我。耶和华说：“我必拯救你，我必使仇敌在灾祸、困难来临时哀求你。谁能折断来自北方之敌的铁拳铜臂呢？因为你们境内罪恶泛滥，我要使敌人任意抢掠你们的财宝，把你们掳到陌生的地方。我的怒火要烧灭你们。”耶和华啊，你知道我的遭遇。求你顾念我，眷顾我，报应迫害我的人。求你不要取我的性命，因为你不轻易发怒，你知道我为了你忍受辱骂。万军之上帝耶和华啊，我把你的话视为甘饴，它们是我心中的快乐和喜悦，因为我属于你的名下。我没有与作乐的人为伍，没有与他们同乐。你要我独坐一处，他们的罪恶使我怒气填胸。为什么我的痛楚无休无止？为什么我的创伤无法医治？难道你要像一条时断时流的小溪让我无法依靠吗？

从今以后，我们不再以貌取人了，虽然我们曾这样看待基督，现在却不再这样看待祂了。

“你起身前往尼尼微大城，向那里的居民宣告我先前吩咐你的话。”

愚昧人必不再被奉为尊贵之人，恶棍必不再受尊重。因为愚昧人说愚昧话，心里邪恶，行事不义，亵渎耶和华，使饥饿的人没饭吃，使口渴的人没水喝。
