我之痛苦、奚久不已、我之創傷、何為不瘳、爾之於我、果如無常之溪、無水之井乎、○

我之痛楚、恆久不息、我之創傷甚危、不得醫痊何故、主使我失望、若人望得水、而泉源忽竭、

Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable? You are to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails.

Why does my pain never end? Why is my wound so deep? Why can’t I ever get well? To me you are like a stream that runs dry. You are like a spring that doesn’t have any water.

Why is my pain unceasing, my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will you be to me like a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?

Why then does my suffering continue? Why is my wound so incurable? Your help seems as uncertain as a seasonal brook, like a spring that has gone dry.”

Why has my pain been endless And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You indeed be to me like a deceptive stream With water that is unreliable?

Why is my pain perpetual And my wound incurable, Which refuses to be healed? Will You surely be to me like an unreliable stream, As waters that fail?

爾既遭難、何哭泣若此、因爾咎戾眾多、故予責爾、傷殘殊甚。

敵至猶大耶路撒冷門、其禍遍於我民、其傷不得醫痊、

如自謂不義、是欺人也、然我雖無過、厥疾不瘳。

耶利米禱曰、耶和華與、爾強我為先知、而我勉從、我迫於爾命、莫之能辭、今也人咸欺予、日藐視予。

耶和華又曰、爾創傷未痊、殘缺未醫、

長者遣少者汲水、井泉枯竭、挈其空瓶、含羞蒙首而歸。

猶大王公、祭司庶民攻爾、我必使爾屹立、若鞏固之城、鐵柱銅垣。彼雖敵爾、必不能勝、蓋我耶和華左右爾、拯救爾。

耶和華豈遺棄猶大、痛疾郇邑哉、奚擊我而不醫、我冀平康而有禍、望得醫而加傷。

我心畏葸、爾不援余、將至何時。

友我不卒、猶泉之忽竭、潦之立涸、當其初也、冰雪澌流、源泉混混。及乎暑時、水漸殺矣、烈日暴之、溪流絕矣。行旅之人、迂道求泉而弗得、渴死於野。斯溪也、提馬之賓旅望之、示巴之行人慕之、望而不得則駭、至其地而不見、則相視欿然。

主怒余責予、備嘗艱苦、惟余一人兮。導予入幽暗之途、非光明之域兮。彼屢害予、終日不息兮。肌膚槁枯、骨骸摧折兮、彼沮尼余、如荼如瞻、四面皆是兮。置我於暗地、與久死之人無異兮。藩籬四圍、使我不出、繫我以鐵索兮。我雖籲呼、不得升聞兮。以石塞途、使我行於曲徑兮。主欲執余、有若熊獅、伏於密林兮。忽搏噬予、傷予喪予兮、張弓發矢、以我為的兮。弢中之箭、入我腎腸兮。人姍笑予、日作歌以譏刺兮。主使予食苦荼、餐茵蔯兮。嚙沙石、折余齒兮、陷灰中、氣難息兮。不可得兮平康、不復見兮福祉。我曰、予力困憊、不復望耶和華兮。

耶和華兮、余久為爾遐棄、不復眷顧兮、敵人自詡、余憂思之不已兮、心懸慮而何底兮。我之上帝耶和華、垂聽我祈兮、使余目之復明、免於死亡兮。
