When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.

他對我說：“人子啊，把你得到的吃下去吧！吃下這書卷，然後去向以色列家說話。”於是我把口張開，他就給我吃下那書卷。他又對我說：“人子啊！把我賜給你的那書卷吃下去，填滿你的肚子。”於是我吃了，這書卷在我口裡像蜜糖一樣甘甜。

我制止我的腳不走任何邪惡的路，為要謹守你的話。我沒有偏離你的典章，因為你親自教導了我。你的話語在我的上膛多麼甜美，在我的口中比蜂蜜更甜。

他嘴唇的命令我沒有離棄，我珍藏他口中的言語在我的心胸，勝過我需用的飲食（“勝過我需用的飲食”或可參照《七十士譯本》等古譯本翻譯為“在我的心胸”）。

都比金子寶貴，比大量的精金更寶貴；比蜜甘甜，比蜂房滴下來的蜜更甘甜；

我以你的法度為我永遠的產業；因為它們是我心中的喜樂。

我多麼愛慕你的律法，終日不住地默想。

你口中的律法對我有益，勝過千千萬萬的金銀。

你為甚麼像個受驚的人，又像個不能拯救人的勇士呢？耶和華啊！你是在我們中間，我們是稱為你名下的人，求你不要離棄我們。”
