北方之鐵與銅、人能折之乎、

耶和華告民曰、爾雖堅剛若鐵、豈及北方之鐵、與銅交融、為不可毀乎。

“ People of Judah, the armies of Babylon will come from the north. They are as strong as iron and bronze. Can anyone break their power?

Look at the nations and observe— be utterly astounded! For something is taking place in your days that you will not believe when you hear about it.Look! I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter, impetuous nation that marches across the earth’s open spaces to seize territories not its own.They are fierce and terrifying; their views of justice and sovereignty stem from themselves.Their horses are swifter than leopards and more fierce than wolves of the night. Their horsemen charge ahead; their horsemen come from distant lands. They fly like an eagle, swooping to devour.All of them come to do violence; their faces are set in determination. They gather prisoners like sand.They mock kings, and rulers are a joke to them. They laugh at every fortress and build siege ramps to capture it.

Today, I am the One who has made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land— against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the population.They will fight against you but never prevail over you, since I am with you to rescue you.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like His?

‘ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I will repel the weapons of war in your hands, those you are using to fight the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the wall, and I will bring them into the center of this city.I will fight against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm, with anger, rage, and great wrath.

For this is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says,‘ I have put an iron yoke on the neck of all these nations that they might serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and they will serve him. I have also put the wild animals under him.’”

“ Woe to the one who argues with his Maker— one clay pot among many. Does clay say to the one forming it,‘ What are you making?’ Or does your work say,‘ He has no hands’?
