The Lord said,“ Jeremiah, I will keep you safe for a good purpose. I will make your enemies ask you to pray for them. They will make their appeal to you when they are in great trouble.

耶和华说：“我必要坚固你，使你得好处。灾祸苦难临到的时候，我必要使仇敌央求你。

耶和华说：“我必定释放你，使你得福气。灾祸苦难来临时，我必使仇敌央求你。

耶和华说：“我必定释放你，使你得福气。灾祸苦难来临时，我必使仇敌央求你。

耶和华说：“我必拯救你，我必使仇敌在灾祸、困难来临时哀求你。

耶和华说：“我必为你的好处释放你；在遭遇祸患和灾难的时候，我必叫你的仇敌恳求你。

耶和華說：「我必要堅固你，使你得好處。災禍苦難臨到的時候，我必要使仇敵央求你。（

耶和華說：「我必拯救你，我必使仇敵在災禍、困難來臨時哀求你。

耶和華說：“我必為你的好處釋放你；在遭遇禍患和災難的時候，我必叫你的仇敵懇求你。

永恆主啊，就這樣吧！我若沒有為他們的福利而懇求你，我若沒有在禍患和災難時為敵人向你祈求，就情願受咒罵！

耶和華曰、我必釋爾、使爾獲福、爾敵遇禍遭難時、必求於爾、○

耶和華曰、我必釋爾、雖罹災害、必使敵善待爾。

主曰、我必釋爾、我必釋爾又作我必使爾強健必使爾得福、在患難之時、在災害之日、必使敵人善待爾、

The Lord said,“ Surely I will deliver you for a good purpose; surely I will make your enemies plead with you in times of disaster and times of distress.

The Lord said,“ Have I not set you free for their good? Have I not pleaded for you before the enemy in the time of trouble and in the time of distress?

The Lord replied,“ I will take care of you, Jeremiah. Your enemies will ask you to plead on their behalf in times of trouble and distress.

The LORD said: Haven’t I set you loose for your good? Haven’t I punished you in a time of trouble, in a time of distress with the enemy?

The Lord said,“ I will certainly set you free for purposes of good; I will certainly make the enemy plead with you In a time of disaster and a time of distress.

The Lord said:“ Surely it will be well with your remnant; Surely I will cause the enemy to intercede with you In the time of adversity and in the time of affliction.

Jehovah said, Verily I will strengthen thee for good; verily I will cause the enemy to make supplication unto thee in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

The Lord said: I will certainly set you free and care for you. I will certainly intercede for you in a time of trouble, in your time of distress, with the enemy.

The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee[ well] in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

The LORD said,“ Jerusalem, I will surely send you away for your own good. I will surely bring the enemy upon you in a time of trouble and distress.

Yahweh said,“ Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

When the way you live pleases the Lord, he makes even your enemies live at peace with you.

I know the plans I have for you,” announces the Lord.“ I want you to enjoy success. I do not plan to harm you. I will give you hope for the years to come.Then you will call out to me. You will come and pray to me. And I will listen to you.When you look for me with all your heart, you will find me.I will be found by you,” announces the Lord.“ And I will bring you back from where you were taken as prisoners. I will gather you from all the nations. I will gather you from the places where I have forced you to go,” announces the Lord.“ I will bring you back to the place I sent you away from.”

Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live in the land and enjoy its food.Find your delight in the Lord. Then he will give you everything your heart really wants.Commit your life to the Lord. Here is what he will do if you trust in him.He will make the reward for your godly life shine like the dawn. He will make the proof of your honest life shine like the sun at noon.Be still and wait patiently for the Lord to act. Don’t be upset when other people succeed. Don’t be upset when they carry out their evil plans.Turn away from anger and don’t give in to wrath. Don’t be upset, because that only leads to evil.Sinful people will be destroyed. But those who put their hope in the Lord will receive the land.In a little while, there won’t be any more sinners. Even if you look for them, you won’t be able to find them.But those who are free of pride will be given the land. They will enjoy peace and success.

He made all those who held them as prisoners have mercy on them.

But King Zedekiah sent Jehukal to Jeremiah the prophet. Zedekiah sent Zephaniah the priest along with him. Jehukal was the son of Shelemiah. Zephaniah was the son of Maaseiah. Jehukal and Zephaniah brought the king’s message to Jeremiah. It said,“ Please pray to the Lord our God for us.”

All of them said to Jeremiah the prophet,“ Please listen to our appeal. Pray to the Lord your God. Pray for all of us who are left here. Once there were many of us. But as you can see, only a few of us are left now.

An evil person may be guilty of a hundred crimes. Yet they may still live a long time. But I know that things will go better with those who have great respect for God.

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, had given orders about Jeremiah. He had given them to Nebuzaradan, the commander of the royal guard. Nebuchadnezzar had said,“ Take him. Look after him. Don’t harm him. Do for him anything he asks.”

“ Ask the Lord to help us. Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is attacking us. In the past the Lord did wonderful things for us. Maybe he’ll do them again. Then Nebuchadnezzar will pull his armies back from us.”

In the Lord’ s hand the king’s heart is like a stream of water. The Lord directs it toward all those who please him.

But the commander of the guard found Jeremiah. The commander said to him,“ The Lord your God ordered that this place be destroyed.And now he has brought it about. He has done exactly what he said he would do. All these things have happened because you people sinned against the Lord. You didn’t obey him.But today I’m setting you free from the chains on your wrists. Come with me to Babylon if you want to. I’ll take good care of you there. But if you don’t want to come, then don’t. The whole country lies in front of you. Go anywhere you want to.”But before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan continued,“ Go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam. The king of Babylon has appointed Gedaliah to be over the towns of Judah. Go and live with him among your people. Or go anywhere else you want to.” Ahikam was the son of Shaphan. The commander gave Jeremiah food and water. He also gave him a gift. Then he let Jeremiah go.So Jeremiah went to Mizpah to see Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam. Jeremiah stayed with him. Jeremiah lived among the people who were left behind in the land.
