Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, Lord, and we bear your name; do not forsake us!

你為甚麼像驟然喫驚的人，像不能拯救人的勇士呢？其實、永恆主啊，你乃是在我們中間的，我們也稱為你名下的人呀；不要離開我們吧！』

奚若受驚之人、又若不能施援之勇士、耶和華歟、爾猶在我中、我以爾名為稱、勿離棄我、○

爾見我臨難、不勝駭愕、若不能援手、昔日之權能安在、耶和華與、爾駐蹕於我間、我為爾民、請勿棄余。

緣何若人驚愕、若英武者不能施救、主歟、爾仍在我間、我仍稱為主之民、求主莫棄我、

Why are you like a man taken by surprise? Why are you like a soldier who can’t save anyone? Lord, you are among us. And we are your people. Please don’t desert us!

Why should you be like a man confused, like a mighty warrior who cannot save? Yet you, O Lord, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; do not leave us.”

Are you also confused? Is our champion helpless to save us? You are right here among us, Lord. We are known as your people. Please don’t abandon us now!”

Why are you like a helpless man, like a warrior unable to save? Yet you are among us, LORD, and we bear your name. Don’t leave us!

Why are You like a confused person, Like a warrior who cannot save? Yet You are in our midst, Lord, And we are called by Your name; Do not leave us!”

Why should You be like a man astonished, Like a mighty one who cannot save? Yet You, O Lord, are in our midst, And we are called by Your name; Do not leave us!

Why shouldest thou be as a man affrighted, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O Jehovah, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

Why are You like a helpless man, like a warrior unable to save? Yet You are among us, Yahweh, and we are called by Your name. Don’t leave us!

Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man[ that] cannot save? yet thou, O LORD,[ art] in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

Why should you be like someone who is helpless, like a champion who cannot save anyone? You are indeed with us, and we belong to you. Do not abandon us!”

Why should you be like a scared man, as a mighty man who can’t save? Yet you, Yahweh, are in the middle of us, and we are called by your name. Don’t leave us.

We are yours from of old; but you have not ruled over them, they have not been called by your name.

Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.

When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.

God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

If you put all these people to death, leaving none alive, the nations who have heard this report about you will say,‘ The Lord was not able to bring these people into the land he promised them on oath, so he slaughtered them in the wilderness.’

This is what the Lord says:“ Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce with which I sent her away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Because of your sins you were sold; because of your transgressions your mother was sent away.When I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was my arm too short to deliver you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you? By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.

Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.

The Lord answered Moses,“ Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.”

Awake, Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.Why do you hide your face and forget our misery and oppression?We are brought down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.Rise up and help us; rescue us because of your unfailing love.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,“ Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you.

Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength! Awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old. Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces, who pierced that monster through?

Listen to the cry of my people from a land far away:“ Is the Lord not in Zion? Is her King no longer there?”“ Why have they aroused my anger with their images, with their worthless foreign idols?”

Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”

And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will be its glory within.’

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:“ I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.

Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you.I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.
