“ Judah mourns, her cities languish; they wail for the land, and a cry goes up from Jerusalem.

“ Judah is filled with sadness. Its cities are wasting away. The people weep for the land. Crying is heard in Jerusalem.

“ Judah mourns, and her gates languish; her people lament on the ground, and the cry of Jerusalem goes up.

“ Judah wilts; commerce at the city gates grinds to a halt. All the people sit on the ground in mourning, and a great cry rises from Jerusalem.

“ The people of Judah are in mourning. The people in her cities are pining away. They lie on the ground expressing their sorrow. Cries of distress come up to me from Jerusalem.

錫安的城門必悲傷、哀號；她必荒涼坐在地上。

先知說：因我百姓的損傷，我也受了損傷。我哀痛，驚惶將我抓住。

未曾死的人都生了痔瘡。合城呼號，聲音上達於天。

所以耶和華如此說：「我必使災禍臨到他們，是他們不能逃脫的。他們必向我哀求，我卻不聽。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

現在他們的面貌比煤炭更黑，以致在街上無人認識；他們的皮膚緊貼骨頭，枯乾如同槁木。餓死的不如被刀殺的，因為這是缺了田間的土產，就身體衰弱，漸漸消滅。

錫安的門都陷入地內；主將她的門閂毀壞，折斷。她的君王和首領落在沒有律法的列國中；她的先知不得見耶和華的異象。

你使敵軍忽然臨到他們的時候，願人聽見哀聲從他們的屋內發出；因他們挖坑要捉拿我，暗設網羅要絆我的腳。

「明日這時候，我必使一個人從便雅憫地到你這裏來，你要膏他作我民以色列的君。他必救我民脫離非利士人的手；因我民的哀聲上達於我，我就眷顧他們。」

地上悲哀衰殘；黎巴嫩羞愧枯乾；沙崙像曠野；巴珊和迦密的樹林凋殘。

田荒涼，地悲哀；因為五穀毀壞，新酒乾竭，油也缺乏。

萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列家；他所喜愛的樹就是猶大人。他指望的是公平，誰知倒有暴虐；指望的是公義，誰知倒有冤聲。

地上悲哀衰殘，世界敗落衰殘；地上居高位的人也敗落了。

這地悲哀，通國的青草枯乾，要到幾時呢？因其上居民的惡行，牲畜和飛鳥都滅絕了。他們曾說：他看不見我們的結局。

我心為摩押悲哀；他的貴冑逃到瑣珥，到伊基拉‧施利施亞。他們上魯希坡，隨走隨哭；在何羅念的路上，因毀滅舉起哀聲。

甚至使貧窮人的哀聲達到他那裏；他也聽了困苦人的哀聲。

因飢餓燥熱，我們的皮膚就黑如爐。

神聽見他們的哀聲，就記念他與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。

新酒悲哀，葡萄樹衰殘；心中歡樂的俱都歎息。

因此，地要悲哀，在上的天也必黑暗；因為我言已出，我意已定，必不後悔，也不轉意不做。

因此，這地悲哀，其上的民、田野的獸、空中的鳥必都衰微，海中的魚也必消滅。

牠們一來，眾民傷慟，臉都變色。
