锡安的城门必悲伤、哀哭，锡安必空空地坐在地上。

同胞的创伤令我伤心欲绝，痛苦万分，惊慌失措。

那些没有死的人都饱受毒疮的折磨，城中的哭喊声上达于天。

所以我要使他们灾难临头，无法逃脱，任他们高声呼求，我也不听。这是耶和华说的。

祂说，‘我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听。

现在，他们的面目比煤炭还黑，走在街上无人认得。他们骨瘦如柴，干如枯木。死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。

锡安的城门陷入地中，主摧毁、砍断她的门闩。她的君王和首领流落异乡，律法不复存在，她的先知得不到从耶和华而来的异象。

当你使敌军突袭他们时，愿他们家中传出哭喊声，因为他们挖陷阱要捕捉我，设圈套要绊我的脚。

“明天这个时候，我会从便雅悯境内差遣一个人到你这里，你要膏立他做我以色列子民的首领，他会从非利士人手中把我的子民拯救出来，因为我已听到我子民的呼求，我要施恩给他们。”

地上一片荒凉，黎巴嫩的树木枯干，沙仑好像旷野，巴珊和迦密的树叶凋零。

田园荒废，遍地凄凉，五谷尽毁，再也没有新酒和油了。

万军之耶和华的葡萄园就是以色列，祂所喜爱的葡萄树就是犹大人。祂希望看到公平，却只看见杀戮；指望看到公义，却只听见冤声。

大地必衰残枯干，世界必衰败荒凉，世上的权贵也必败落。

大地哀恸、田野的植物枯槁要到何时呢？由于这地方居民的罪恶，野兽和飞鸟都灭绝了。他们说：“上帝看不见我们的行为。”

我为摩押感到悲哀。她的人民逃难到琐珥和伊基拉·施利施亚。他们上到鲁希斜坡，边走边哭，在去何罗念的路上为自己的不幸哀哭。

以致穷人的呼求传到祂那里，祂也听见了困苦者的呼求。

我们因饥饿而发热，皮肤热如烤炉。

葡萄树枯萎，新酒停产，欢乐的人都发出悲叹。

因此，地要悲哀，天要昏暗，因为我言出必行，决不反悔。”

所以，这片土地要哀鸣，所有的居民都要消亡，田间的野兽、空中的飞鸟、水里的鱼类也要灭绝。”

它们一来，百姓就惊慌失措，面如死灰。
