And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them, their wives, their sons and their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve.

凡從其言者、必飲刃受饑、陳尸於耶路撒冷逵衢、以及妻室子女、無人瘞埋、蓋我使之慘罹惡報。

聽其預言之民、必遭鋒刃饑饉之災、屍擲耶路撒冷街衢、無人葬埋、妻室子女皆然、蓋我必循其惡而報之、

And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem. They will die because of hunger and war. No one will bury them. No one will bury their wives and children. I will pour out trouble on them. That is exactly what they should get.

they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.

They have left the dead bodies of your servants as food for the birds of the sky, the flesh of your own people for the animals of the wild.They have poured out blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury the dead.

And if they ask you,‘ Where shall we go?’ tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says:“‘ Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.’“ I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” declares the Lord,“ the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy.

Then the carcasses of this people will become food for the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away.

So give their children over to famine; hand them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives be made childless and widows; let their men be put to death, their young men slain by the sword in battle.

And if you ask yourself,“ Why has this happened to me?”— it is because of your many sins that your skirts have been torn off and your body mistreated.Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil.“ I will scatter you like chaff driven by the desert wind.This is your lot, the portion I have decreed for you,” declares the Lord,“ because you have forgotten me and trusted in false gods.

“ They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like dung lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds and the wild animals.”

So beware, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when people will no longer call this place Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.“‘ In this place I will ruin the plans of Judah and Jerusalem. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, at the hands of those who want to kill them, and I will give their carcasses as food to the birds and the wild animals.

“ Your own conduct and actions have brought this on you. This is your punishment. How bitter it is! How it pierces to the heart!”

Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the Lord your God when he led you in the way?Now why go to Egypt to drink water from the Nile? And why go to Assyria to drink water from the Euphrates?Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

Say,“ This is what the Lord declares:“‘ Dead bodies will lie like dung on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.’”

The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?

Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels,“ Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”
