This is what the LORD says concerning these people: Truly they love to wander; they never rest their feet. So the LORD does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.

主論斯民如是云、斯民樂於背道、不禁步於邪途、故我不悅之、必憶其愆尤、罰其罪惡、

This is what the Lord says about this people:“ They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.”

The Lord gave Jeremiah a message about these people. The Lord said,“ They really love to wander away from me. Their feet go down the wrong path. I do not accept these people. I will remember the evil things they have done. I will punish them for their sins.”

Thus says the Lord concerning this people:“ They have loved to wander thus; they have not restrained their feet; therefore the Lord does not accept them; now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.”

So this is what the Lord says to his people:“ You love to wander far from me and do not restrain yourselves. Therefore, I will no longer accept you as my people. Now I will remember all your wickedness and will punish you for your sins.”

This is what the Lord says to this people:“ So much they have loved to wander; they have not restrained their feet. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their wrongdoing and call their sins to account.”

Thus says the Lord to this people:“ Thus they have loved to wander; They have not restrained their feet. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; He will remember their iniquity now, And punish their sins.”

Thus saith Jehovah unto this people, Even so have they loved to wander; they have not refrained their feet: therefore Jehovah doth not accept them; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

Then the LORD spoke about these people.“ They truly love to go astray. They cannot keep from running away from me. So I am not pleased with them. I will now call to mind the wrongs they have done and punish them for their sins.”

Yahweh says to this people,“ Even so they have loved to wander. They have not restrained their feet. Therefore Yahweh does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish them for their sins.”

They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; he will punish their sins.

Though they offer sacrificial gifts and eat the flesh, the LORD does not accept them. Now he will remember their guilt and punish their sins; they will return to Egypt.

I have kept my feet from every evil path to follow your word.

What use to me is frankincense from Sheba or sweet cane from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable; your sacrifices do not please me.

Even if you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; I will have no regard for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle.

For I will forgive their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.

“ When you present a blind animal for sacrifice, is it not wrong? And when you present a lame or sick animal, is it not wrong? Bring it to your governor! Would he be pleased with you or show you favor?” asks the LORD of Armies.“ And now plead for God’s favor. Will he be gracious to us? Since this has come from your hands, will he show any of you favor?” asks the LORD of Armies.“ I wish one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would no longer kindle a useless fire on my altar! I am not pleased with you,” says the LORD of Armies,“ and I will accept no offering from your hands.“ My name will be great among the nations, from the rising of the sun to its setting. Incense and pure offerings will be presented in my name in every place because my name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Armies.“ But you are profaning it when you say,‘ The Lord’s table is defiled, and its product, its food, is contemptible.’You also say,‘ Look, what a nuisance!’ And you scorn it,” says the LORD of Armies.“ You bring stolen, lame, or sick animals. You bring this as an offering! Am I to accept that from your hands?” asks the LORD.

Why have these people turned away? Why is Jerusalem always turning away? They take hold of deceit; they refuse to return.

My people are bent on turning from me. Though they call to him on high, he will not exalt them at all.

She said to Elijah,“ Man of God, what do you have against me? Have you come to call attention to my iniquity so that my son is put to death?”

No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying,‘ Know the LORD,’ for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them”— this is the LORD’s declaration.“ For I will forgive their iniquity and never again remember their sin.

How unstable you are, constantly changing your ways! You will be put to shame by Egypt just as you were put to shame by Assyria.

This is what the LORD of Armies says:‘ I witnessed what the Amalekites did to the Israelites when they opposed them along the way as they were coming out of Egypt.

How can you protest,“ I am not defiled; I have not followed the Baals”? Look at your behavior in the valley; acknowledge what you have done. You are a swift young camel twisting and turning on her way,a wild donkey at home in the wilderness. She sniffs the wind in the heat of her desire. Who can control her passion? All who look for her will not become weary; they will find her in her mating season.Keep your feet from going bare and your throat from thirst. But you say,“ It’s hopeless; I love strangers, and I will continue to follow them.”

I will not vent the full fury of my anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not come in rage.

“ As for the incense you burned in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets— you, your ancestors, your kings, your officials, and the people of the land— did the LORD not remember them? He brought this to mind.The LORD can no longer bear your evil deeds and the detestable acts you have committed, so your land has become a waste, a desolation, and an example for cursing, without inhabitant, as you see today.Because you burned incense and sinned against the LORD and didn’t obey the LORD and didn’t follow his instruction, his statutes, and his testimonies, this disaster has come to you, as you see today.”

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD, and do not let his mother’s sin be blotted out.Let their sins always remain before the LORD, and let him remove all memory of them from the earth.

If a man divorces his wife and she leaves him to marry another, can he ever return to her? Wouldn’t such a land become totally defiled? But you! You have prostituted yourself with many partners— can you return to me? This is the LORD’s declaration.Look to the barren heights and see. Where have you not been immoral? You sat waiting for them beside the highways like a nomad in the desert. You have defiled the land with your prostitution and wickedness.
