“ Thus says the Lord:‘ In this manner I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.

“耶和華這樣說：‘我必照樣敗壞猶大的尊榮和耶路撒冷極大的尊榮。

『永恆主這麼說：我必照樣搞壞猶大的驕傲、和耶路撒冷的大驕傲。

耶和華云、我必若是敗猶大之狂傲、及耶路撒冷特甚之狂傲、

猶大及耶路撒冷汰侈已甚、我耶和華將敗之、與此無異。

我即主如是云、猶大及耶路撒冷驕傲已甚、我將敗之、與帶之壞無異、

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.

“ In the same way, I will destroy Judah’s pride. And I will destroy the great pride of Jerusalem.

“ Thus says the Lord: Even so will I spoil the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.

“ This is what the Lord says: This shows how I will rot away the pride of Judah and Jerusalem.

“ This is what the LORD says: Just like this I will ruin the great pride of both Judah and Jerusalem.

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ To the same extent I will destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.

Thus saith Jehovah, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

“ This is what the Lord says: Just like this I will ruin the great pride of both Judah and Jerusalem.

Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

“ I, the LORD, say:‘ This shows how I will ruin the highly exalted position in which Judah and Jerusalem take pride.

“ Yahweh says,‘ In this way I, will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.

Hear and give ear: Do not be proud, For the Lord has spoken.Give glory to the Lord your God Before He causes darkness, And before your feet stumble On the dark mountains, And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death And makes it dense darkness.But if you will not hear it, My soul will weep in secret for your pride; My eyes will weep bitterly And run down with tears, Because the LORD’s flock has been taken captive.

Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty.The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up— And it shall be brought low—Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;Upon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up;Upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;Upon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops.The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,

The Lord of hosts has purposed it, To bring to dishonor the pride of all glory, To bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds In which you transgress against Me; For then I will take away from your midst Those who rejoice in your pride, And you shall no longer be haughty In My holy mountain.

“ We have heard the pride of Moab( He is exceedingly proud), Of his loftiness and arrogance and pride, And of the haughtiness of his heart.”

And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit.

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

We have heard of the pride of Moab— He is very proud— Of his haughtiness and his pride and his wrath; But his lies shall not be so.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

For the Lord will restore the excellence of Jacob Like the excellence of Israel, For the emptiers have emptied them out And ruined their vine branches.

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

They pursue at our heels; We labor and have no rest.We have given our hand to the Egyptians And the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.Our fathers sinned and are no more, But we bear their iniquities.Servants rule over us; There is none to deliver us from their hand.
